England Deaf completed an unbeaten tour of South Africa with victory in the last one-day international by 181 runs for a 4-0 scoreline.

George Greenway was man of the match for his outstanding figures of 7-22 as the hosts were dismissed for a paltry 82.

Despite being put in, openers Umesh Valjee and James Schofield added 200. Both fell five short of a century, but England still posted 263 from 50 overs.

England Deaf coach Bobby Denning said: “We put a big score on, which we set our stall out to do. (It was) a great opening partnership from James Schofield and Umesh Valjee, 90-odd apiece. A 200 opening partnership and (we) bowled them out fantastically well. George Greenway (took) seven wickets, backed up by some excellent fielding.

“It means that we go home unbeaten and that’s what we set out to do quite some time ago. That’s been the constant theme throughout the tour. We didn’t want to just win the T20. We didn’t want to just win the ODIs. We wanted to go home unbeaten. We’ve done that and it’s a very satisfactory feeling.”
