Shane Bond will leave his position as New Zealand’s bowling coach after the World Cup.
The former Black Caps paceman, who took up the role in October 2012, has opted against renewing his contract which will expire at the end of the showpiece in his homeland and Australia.
New Zealand head of cricket Lindsay Crocker told their official website: “Make no bones about this - we’re very disappointed to be losing Shane.
“He’s given great value to the Black Caps programme and we were hopeful of having the benefit of his input over the next few seasons.
“However, we respect his decision and his reasons for making that decision, and wish him well in his endeavours post-World Cup.”
Bond will take up a coaching role with Indian Premier League franchise Mumbai Indians later this year.
