England skipper Charlotte Edwards has jumped five places to second in the Reliance ICC Women’s ODI batting rankings following her impressive performances in the Royal London One-Day Series victory over India.
The 34-year-old struck 53 and 108 not out, her ninth ODI century, in the two matches at Scarborough to help her side bounce back from the Kia Test defeat to the tourists.
Edwards is denied top spot by India counterpart Mithali Raj, who hit scores of 34 and 30 respectively at North Marine Road.
England all-rounder Jenny Gunn moved to a career-high second place in the bowling standings.
Gunn, also fourth on the all-rounder list, took five wickets in two games at an economy rate of 2.95.
