Notts Outlaws Innings

2.11pm - Lumb - who is so often the catalyst for what Hales does at the other end - is off in spectacular style. Four consecutive boundaries, a mix of classic drives and savage pulls moves the Outlaws into the 20s after three overs.

2.05pm - Steven Mullaney is the first batsman off the mark, but it's streaky as an inside edge evadeds the stumps and the keeper to trickle away to the fine leg boundary. Nervy start from the Outlaws.

2.00pm - Play is underway as Mark Footitt gets Michael Lumb to nibble at one outside off stump. The left-arm quick has been a huge part of the Falcons campaign to date, so it sets up a great battle between him and the England openeer.

Pre-play news

1.40pm - Remember the Outlaws are without England duo Alex Hales and Harry Gurney for the game. They have more than enough quality without however, with James Taylor one of those who can consider himself unfortunate to be in England's plans.

1.36pm - TOSS! Notts have won the toss and have chosen to bat first.

1.30pm - Hello and welcome to today's blog of the first Royal London quarter-final, and what a game it could be.

Notts Outlaws will be looking to prove a point to themselves as much as anything, after crashing out of the NatWest T20 Blast at Trent Bridge, while Derbyshire have gone under many a radar in getting this far and have been very impressive in Group One.
