Surrey's Zafar Ansari moved on to 60 not out in a rain-disrupted second day against Glamorgan in Division Two of the LV= County Championship.
Only 12.5 overs were bowled at the Kia Oval as Surrey lost two wickets to finish the day on 209 for seven in their first innings.
Ansari added another 10 runs to his overnight total, while at the other end Jason Roy and Tom Curran were both caught behind by Glamorgan skipper Mark Wallace on his 200th consecutive championship appearance.
Seamer Jim Allenby was the beneficiary on both occasions and now boasts impressive figures of 4-39.
Roy made 15 while Curran was dismissed for a duck, before Stuart Meaker entered the crease and made an unbeaten nine for the hosts.
The umpires suspended play due to bad weather with only 86 overs completed at the match's halfway stage.
