Vusi Sibanda hit the final ball of the match for six as Zimbabwe edged past Netherlands to leave Group B of the World Twenty20 wide open.
Having suffered defeat to Ireland from the last delivery of their opening game, Zimbabwe this time found themselves come out on the right side of a nail-biting encounter by five wickets.
After winning the toss, the Dutch stuttered to 35 for four in the powerplay.
Tom Cooper led their recovery with an impressive unbeaten 72 from 58 balls, with his brother Ben and Mudassar Bukhari making useful late contributions in a total of 140 for five.
Sikandar Raza fell early in the reply trying to clear the ropes, but skipper Brendan Taylor and Hamilton Masakadza looked to be steering Zimbabwe to a routine victory as they put on 62 for the second wicket.
However, Masakadza was bowled by Pieter Seelaar with the score on 87 and Elton Chigumbura went for a duck two balls later.
With 15 needed off the last two overs, Taylor immediately fell one shy of a half-century, and Sean Williams was run out from the penultimate ball to leave the scores level.
Sibanda then smashed Ahsan Malik’s final delivery over long-on to win the match, and leave both sides with one win and one defeat from their two games.
