Five wickets for Charlie Morris helped dismiss Somerset for 250 on the first day, but Worcestershire slipped to 35 for two in reply at New Road.
John Hastings finished with four wickets to end the Middlesex innings on 463, before a fighting half-century from Keaton Jennings saw Durham to the close on 157 for four.
Essex were skittled for just 159 after a rain-delayed start at the Essex County Ground. Liam Norwell took 4-32 before Gloucestershire capped off a fantastic day by finishing on 80 without loss.
Two late wickets for Kyle Jarvis swung the game Lancashire’s way after half-centuries from Stephen Peters and Alex Wakely led Northamptonshire to 198 for six.
Leicestershire raced along to 300 for five before the close of play. Captain Mark Cosgrove hit a brilliant century and was well supported by Neil Pinner against Kent.
Little play was possible at the SWALEC Stadium, but Derbyshire slipped to 47 for two in the 15.5 overs possible against Glamorgan.
6.49pm - There's still play at Lord's however and Calum MacLeod has been cleaned up by Steve Finn. An important blow for Middlesex to strike.
6.39pm - Play didn't last long at New Road and stumps have been drawn with the hosts 35 for two. We will bring you a round-up from around the country at the close of play, as many of the other games also draw to an end for the day.
That's it for the day. No more play at Wantage Road. Northants 198-6 from 50.2 overs #NORvLAN

6.19pm - Lancashire have nabbed two quick wickets with the dismissals of Richard Keogh and Josh Cobb in successive deliveries to Kyle Jarvis, but the players are forced off due to bad light not long after.
Pinner's entertaining knock is over for 68 as he becomes Matt Coles' fourth victim of the day.

6.02pm - We are going to start again at New Road after all! The players are about to head back on with no overs lost.
5.57pm - Cosgrove falls for 113. Adam Riley makes the late breakthrough and it is important one as Leicestershire have assumed some control over the contest on the back of their skipper.
Keaton Jennings has a half-century as Lord's. Durham are 123 for two.
5.48pm -It looks like we are done for the day at New Road as the weather sweeps in with Worcestershire 28 for two. The hosts probably take the honours for the day but Somerset have fought back in the last session.
Pinner has clocked up his half-century from 61 balls with Leicestershire 249 for three.

5.33pm - Lewis Gregory continues his fine start to the season - which has helped him earn his England call-up - as he takes a return catch from Richard Oliver.
Durham are 90 for two with Scott Borthwick edging behind to John Simpson off James Franklin. Borthwick was trying to guide the ball away and got a thinner contact than he expected.

5.05pm - After a short rain delay at Wantage Road - which has cost two overs of play - Wakely has reached his half-century.
The rain has eventualy won at the SWALEC Stadium where they have given up for the day. Derbyshire are 47 for two.
4.44pm - James Harris' good start to the season with the ball continues as he finds the edge of Mark Stoneman's bat and Ollie Rayner does the rest.

3.47pm - It is tea at New Road. Somerset are 212 for seven. An unbroken eighth-wicket stand of 48 between Lewis Gregory and Craig Overton will at least bring a smile to director of cricket Matthew Maynard's face after he called for his lower-order to contribute more with the bat before this game.
Essex are now 94 for six as Dent holds another catch. This time David Payne is the wicket-taker removing Kishen Velani.
Glamorgan captain @jacques_rudolph has won the toss and chosen to bowl first at the SWALEC. #GlavDerhttps://t.co/eOD8gmHQtE
— Glamorgan Cricket (@GlamCricket) May 3, 2015
3.38pm - Norwell has a fourth wicket. What a session for the 23-year-old seamer. He has taken three wickets in eight balls. His latest is the big scalp of Jesse Ryder, caught behind by Gareth Roderick, and Essex are 82 for five.
3.32pm - Ned Eckersley posts a half-century as he and Leicestershire skipper Mark Cosgrove are doing well to rebuild after those early wickets. Their third-wicket stand is worth 76 runs as the score goes past 100.
There's bad news at Lord's for Middlesex and Ireland as Tim Murtagh pulls up in his first over. He hurt himself in last week's match against Somerset. It is unclear if he has the same problem, but certainly he is now a major doubt for the ODI in Malahide on Friday as well as the rest of this game. Middlesex are saying it's a hamstring injury.

— Derbyshire CCC (@DerbyshireCCC) May 3, 2015

3.02pm - Somerset fall to 169 for seven as Peter Trego is the latest to offer edge behind. Mitchell holds his third catch of the innings. Wicketkeeper Ben Cox has four. Leach has two wickets.
2.56pm - Chris Rushworth traps Ollie Rayner in front and Middlesex are 44 for eight. Tea is just under an hour away at Lord's so Durham may have a testing little spell to bat out if they can nip out these last two.
Essex lose their first wicket at Chelmsford with Nick Browne caught down the leg side off Craig Miles. Essex are 61 for one.

1.05pm - Here's a run down of the scores at the moment. It is lunch everywhere apart from at Lord's where Middlesex bat on after a 50-minute delay.
Worcestershire skipper Daryl Mitchell opted to bowl first and then watched Charles Morris vindicate his decision with four wickets as Somerset slipped to 98 for four.
John Hastings claimed a couple of wickets after rain delayed the start by 50 minutes to give Durham two bowling bonus points. Middlesex have managed four batting points as they bat on after that delay.
There was no play in all four Division Two matches, although it is hoped that play will start shortly after the lunch break at the Spitfire Ground, Canterbury and the Essex County Ground.
We’ve got all the team news from the second-tier here to read over before the final XIs are named.

12.28pm - Morris has four! Jim Allenby had got off the mark with a boundary but is out in the next over as Daryl Mitchell accepts the catch at second slip. Somerset are 71 for four.
12.25pm - That is a second bowling bonus point wrapped up for Durham, Middlesex need nine more runs in the next five overs to tick over to four batting points.

10.55am - We've had the toss at New Road and Worcestershire have sent Somerset in to bat. You would assume with this weather around that will be the option for most captains.
The rain is clearing at the Essex County Ground while at Kent the umpires will inspect at midday.
The match at Wantage Road between Northants and Lancashire, both relegated last season, is delayed by a wet outfield.
Brightening skies at New Road and the players are out warming up. Updates on start time, XI & toss to follow. #WORvSOM
— Somerset Cricket (@SomersetCCC) May 3, 2015
10.37am - While we wait for the weather to clear the highlights from Lord's are below. Sam Robson hit his first century since he reached three figures for England at Headingley against Sri Lanka last June. This was a timely knock!
10.35am - The umpires will inspect the pitch at the SWALEC Stadium at 11.30am.
10.30am - First things first - there's a lot of rain about the country.
So it might not be the warmest of welcomes to today's coverage - unless you've decided turning the heating up in May is worthwhile - but regardless we'll keep you updated with all the major information. There is hope the weather will clear at some point, most notably at Lord's, so fingers crossed it is sooner rather than later.
Umpires have been out & will be having a further inspection at 10.45 with a view to play starting at 11.15 if weather & conditions allows
