5.59pm - No time to rest though. Let's move swiftly over to Taunton where Middlesex have lost wicket number five. Neil Dexter falls to Abdur Rehman for 11. Now 18 needed in less than three overs.
5.56pm - RESULT! Lancashire (444 & 107/1) beat Kent (252 & 295) by nine wickets at Old Trafford.
Congratulations to @Stevenjcroft and the @LancsCCC team who have won by 9 wickets with 14 balls to spare! #LanvKen
— Lancashire CCC (@LancsCCC) April 29, 2015
5.47pm - Horton goes on to his half-century eventually. But let's take a break from the drama at Old Trafford, to take you to the.. err, drama at Taunton. Middlesex's James Franklin has just made a century.
CENTURY FOR @jecfranklin - Middx 368-4, 34 required. 5.1 overs left. Franklin 102*, 209 balls, 13x4s. #SOMvMID#TeamMiddlesex
— Middlesex Cricket (@Middlesex_CCC) April 29, 2015
5.45pm - Added drama at Old Trafford where umpires were chatting about the light but play continues. Even the light meter made an appearance, giving Lancashire a few more nervy moments but we are still going.
5.42pm - Not as many nerves jangling at Headingley perhaps. Yorkshire seeing things through fairly comfortably.
There are 12 overs remaining in the match. We're heading for a draw unless Warwickshire can strike quickly. Leaning and Hodd doing fine job
— Yorkshire CCC (@Yorkshireccc) April 29, 2015
5.40pm - Ooohs and aaahs abound as Kent miss the chance to end Horton's innings. He's just been dropped by Darren Stevens off his own bowling.
5.37pm - People of a nervous disposition should probably head off and wait for the final results to roll in. Lancashire need 30 off 48 deliveries with Paul Horton approaching a half-century.
5.32pm - It's crunch time at Taunton. Will Middlesex give it a final big push?
Middx 356-4 needing 46 more. 9 overs remain. Franklin 93*, Dexter 2*. #SOMvMID#TeamMiddlesex
— Middlesex Cricket (@Middlesex_CCC) April 29, 2015
5.26pm - Back to the action on the field. As we explained earlier, Lancashire are giving their chase a really good go and their efforts appear to be bearing fruit. They need 46 off 60 balls.
Yorkshire seem to be heading down a slightly different route.
The partnership between Hodd and Leaning stands at 44. 180-4 with a little under 17 overs remaining. Draw the best Yorkshire can hope for.
— Yorkshire CCC (@Yorkshireccc) April 29, 2015
5.23pm - Gloucestershire may have been on the wrong end of a result on the field, but they are celebrating a success off the field (or just off the boundary ropes traditionally!). Bristol City Council’s Development Control Committee has approved a planning permission for the installation of permanent floodlights at their Bristol County Ground.
5.19pm - Middlesex could be holding out for a draw here? 62 runs off a victory but the scoring rate appears to have fallen slightly since Voges' departure.
5.14pm - Hold your horses Lancashire fans. One's gone down here. Things just got a lot more interesting. 57 needed off roughly 12 overs.
5.11pm - Yes, well played to the boys from Derbyshire. A comfortable victory in the end, even if Gloucestershire kept at it with those three wickets. There's still action unfolding at Old Trafford where Lancashire need 63 off a minimum of 14 overs, and at Taunton where Middlesex also have a similar equation against Somerset.
5.10pm - RESULT! Derbyshire (545 & 142/3) have beaten Gloucestershire (275 & 411) by seven wickets.
33.5: #VICTORY! And that's it, Derbyshire win by 7 wickets at Bristol, with @Wjdurston3 6* & @Martyguptill 31* #P2bDpic.twitter.com/iTPy836ar9
— Derbyshire CCC (@DerbyshireCCC) April 29, 2015
5.05pm - And a late twist also at Taunton where Middlesex have lost Voges! 132 well-made runs later, the Australian departs to the bowling of Tim Groenewald, caught by Alex Barrow. That's also the end of a double-hundred stand. Batted.
5.02pm - There could be a draw afoot at Headingley, with Yorkshire seemingly not taking many risks in these final stages. 173 for four and 178 required.
But what's this? A late twist for Gloucestershire/Derbyshire!
32.3: #Wicket. Madsen is caught by Dent off the bowling of Fuller for 20. Derbyshire 133-3; Guptill 30*. Still 9 runs to win #GLOvDER#P2bD
— Derbyshire CCC (@DerbyshireCCC) April 29, 2015
4.59pm - Less than 10 needed now for Derbyshire. Much of Godleman's good work has been slightly overshadowed by the late, late show from Guptill. But it is looking like a big team win nonetheless after the exact opposite against Lancashire last time out.
4.54pm - Lancashire are giving this a really good go. 18 without loss after three overs with 86 required. Yorkshire meanwhile are 162 for four, and need another 189 in just over 24 overs. Unlikely?
4 more to Horton through cover point @LancsCCC 18-0 after 3 overs, need 86 off min.18 overs. @PJHorton20 15* & @lreece17 2* #LanvKen
— Lancashire CCC (@LancsCCC) April 29, 2015
4.50pm - Well, if you're going to do it, do it in style. And who better than to bring the flair than Guptill, who has already cracked three sixes for Derbyshire. Just 18 required now.
4.49pm - Let's not forget Middlesex who are also chasing victory with 79 runs left to get and seven wickets remaining. 19-odd overs left for them to do that and centurion Voges is plodding along nicely alongside Franklin.
4.45pm - Derbyshire's required runs come below 50, as Martin Guptill joins skipper Wayne Madsen at the crease. Could there be a few more twists to this tale?
4.42pm - Well, it's looking like a good-old one-day international type finish at Old Trafford so may as well open the gates!
FREE ENTRY: All @LancsCCC supporters are very welcome to come down to @EmiratesOT for free for the final 21 overs - need 104 to win.
— Lancashire CCC (@LancsCCC) April 29, 2015
4.35pm - It's the end of the innings for Kent, BOWLED OUT for 295. A straight shootout for the line now it would seem. 104 needed in 21 overs for Lancashire.
That last wicket, great work by @aldavies23 who stumped Claydon off @Kegs10 for 24. #LanvKen
— Lancashire CCC (@LancsCCC) April 29, 2015
4.32pm - WICKETS! Oh dear. Perhaps we spoke a bit too soon. Derbyshire have gone on to lose both their openers in successive deliveries - two different bowlers. The target is certainly still gettable, but what a chance gone for Godleman to carry his bat as it were. He is caught by Chris Dent off Matt Taylor, after Slater fell to the combination of Will Tavare and James Fuller.
4.29pm - In contrast to the champions, Derbyshire are well on course for victory, as Godleman reaches his half-century.
25.2: #FIFTY! Godleman gets two to bring up his half-century! Derbyshire 80-0; Godleman 50*, Slater 25* #GLOvDERpic.twitter.com/G32j8tDtP4
— Derbyshire CCC (@DerbyshireCCC) April 29, 2015
4.26pm - Yorkshire are stumbling along and lose another wicket! Andrew Gale is caught behind for 28 with Jeetan Patel picking up his third scalp. 215 now needed with six wickets left and around 32 overs. Game on!
4.21pm - Middlesex are nearing 300 and need another 105 to beat Somerset at Taunton. With seven wickets left, the next 20 minutes or so will prove crucial for the hosts if they are to force a win.
Middx 296-3, needed. Voges 110*, Franklin *64. 25 to bowl. #batted#everythingcrossed#SOMvMID#TeamMiddlesex
— Middlesex Cricket (@Middlesex_CCC) April 29, 2015
4.17pm - Derbyshire are past the halfway mark in their chase. It will take a mammoth effort from Gloucestershire to knock them off here. The visitors need just 69 for the win.
4.10pm - WICKETS! Yorkshire and Kent both lose a man, with Pujara departing for the champions, while Jarvis roars in to account for Kent's Riley. Kent are nine down.
Wicket Watch: Jarv gets his 4th wicket, Riley LBW http://t.co/gAzMReXsGw
— Lancashire CCC (@LancsCCC) April 29, 2015
4.07pm - Derbyshire are close to a victory at the County Ground, just 76 now needed with all 10 wickets left. Gloucestershire are plugging away regardless.
4.06pm - Play is resuming after the tea interval as Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Middlesex are back out on the field.
And here come the batsmen... Go well, lads. Middx 280-3. 122 more. #SOMvMID#TeamMiddlesex#lvccpic.twitter.com/mdlNMbYkf7
— Middlesex Cricket (@Middlesex_CCC) April 29, 2015
3.50pm - RESULT! Northamptonshire (251 & 429) beat Leicestershire (305 & 283) by 92 runs at Grace Road. That’s it, a bit of 10th-wicket swinging is ended by Rory Kleinveldt, and Northants take 21 points from a 92-run victory, their first in 21 Championship matches stretching back to August 2013. For Leicestershire, who take 6 points, the agony continues. Northants have a big home game against Lancashire next, while Leicestershire head for Kent.
#TEA: @BennySlats and Godleman guide Derbyshire through to Tea on 63-0. #DCCC require 79 more to win #GLOvDER#P2bDpic.twitter.com/nBR9JjG4rG
— Derbyshire CCC (@DerbyshireCCC) April 29, 2015
3.45pm - Yorkshire take tea on 120 for two, requiring 231 from a minimum 38 overs upon the resumption. I suspect bad light will have a part to play there, despite the new floodlights.
Kent are 80 runs ahead with two second-innings wickets in tact at the second interval at Emirates Old Trafford.
3.42pm - Century for Voges at Taunton. His stunning form, which started Down Under in the Sheffield Shield, continues. The Australian moves to the milestone 163 deliveries. Middlesex are 122 runs away from victory.
3.37pm - RESULT! Hampshire draw with Nottinghamshire at the Ageas Bowl. Rain on the south coast means Hampshire, 29 without loss chasing an unlikely 392, and Notts have to settle for a draw, the latter's third in a row.
Wicket! Coles' resistance ends on 28, caught at backward short leg by @Stevenjcroft off @Kegs10 & Kent are 265-8, leading by 73. #LanvKen
— Lancashire CCC (@LancsCCC) April 29, 2015
3.27pm - Middlesex are racing along nicely now. James Franklin, 55 not out, and Adam Voges, unbeaten on 83, take their side to 260 for three, requiring 142 to win at Taunton. The New Zealander completed his half-century off 106 balls.
12.2: Fifty partnership for the openers as Derbyshire reach 51-0; Godleman 30*, Slater 19*. 91 to win #GLOvDER #P2bD
— Derbyshire CCC (@DerbyshireCCC) April 29, 2015
3.17pm - ecb.co.uk's Andy Wilson at Leicestershire (305 & 261/9) v Northamptonshire (251 & 429): Northants are now on the brink, as Clint McKay’s counter-attack ends with a top-edge to deep square-leg off Olly Stone. Leicestershire now 261 for nine, so need a last-wicket stand of 115. Charlie Shreck’s batting has improved, but surely not that much.
Century stand for the fourth wicket - Middx 241-3. Voges 78*, Franklin 46*. 161 more to win from 39 overs. #SOMvMID #TeamMiddlesex #lvcc
— Middlesex Cricket (@Middlesex_CCC) April 29, 2015
3.09pm - Another steady start from Yorkshire opener Rhodes ends when, on 29, Jeetan Patel traps him lbw, halting a stand of 34 with Cheteshwar Pujara.
The rain is falling at Hampshire, meaning a draw could well be called shortly. That would be Notts' third stalemate of the season.
3.02pm - Lancashire's quest to dismiss Kent is held up by Matt Coles and Adam Riley, the pair extending their side's lead to 61. Are the eighth-wicket duo going to secure a draw for the visitors at Emirates Old Trafford?
The rain has stopped and play will start at 3pm as long as the rain doesn't return! Min of 45 overs remain in the day. #LVCC
— Hampshire Cricket (@hantscricket) April 29, 2015
2.47pm - Ben Raine edges Muhammad Azhar Ullah behind to leave Leicestershire, chasing 376, 224 for eight.
Middlesex, on 212 for three, are over half way to their victory target of 402 to beat Somerset.
2.43pm - RESULT! Surrey (340 & 95/2) draw with Essex (610/8d) at the Kia Oval. Play has been abandoned for the day in the capital, meaning both teams remain unbeaten this term.
2.30pm - Yorkshire openers Alex Lees and Will Rhodes were frustrating Warwickshire's victory bid at Headingley until the former is caught behind off Rikki Clarke for 21, making the score 48 for one.
Derbyshire have 42 overs to get their runs in Bristol.
123.5: #ALLOUT ! @Thakor57 dismisses Taylor for 0! Glos 411 all out, Derbyshire require 142 runs to win #GLOvDER pic.twitter.com/vJJnIuUMmc
— Derbyshire CCC (@DerbyshireCCC) April 29, 2015
2.15pm - RESULT! Durham (339 & 263/4) beat Sussex (335 & 265) by six wickets at the Emirates Durham ICG. Scott Borthwick and Paul Collingwood, with an unbeaten 97 and 35 not out respectively, see Durham home to a second consecutive Championship victory, ending Sussex's two-match winning streak in the process.
Mark Footitt has a sixth at the Bristol County Ground, having Liam Norwell caught behind. Gloucestershire are 136 ahead with one second-innings wicket left.
Middlesex skipper Adam Voges has a half-century at Taunton.
Just 11 runs now needed...captain @Colly622 31 from just 38 and @Borthwick16 unbeaten on 85. #DURvSUS
— Durham Cricket Club (@DurhamCricket) April 29, 2015
2.11pm - ecb.co.uk's Andy Wilson at Leicestershire (305 & 199/7) v Northamptonshire (251 & 429): Kleinveldt has now dismissed O’Brien for 58, bowled on the back foot by one that nipped back into him, having trapped Wells lbw earlier in the over. Kleinveldt has 3-64, and Northants are three wickets away from a long-awaited victory.
Wicket Watch: Jarvis gets Billings caught behind http://t.co/H6n2IAFKhu
— Lancashire CCC (@LancsCCC) April 29, 2015
2.03pm - ecb.co.uk's Andy Wilson at Leicestershire (305 & 186/6) v Northamptonshire (251 & 429): A good gutsy half-century from Niall O’Brien, with six fours, and he and Tom Wells have now put on 43 for the sixth wicket. Still 190 needed to win though. And now Wells has gone, lbw on the crease to what looked like a very good one from Rory Kleinveldt.
Rain is taking the players off at the Ageas Bowl, where Hampshire are 29 for no wicket.
Wicket! Inside edge bowls Northeast for 43, @petersiddle403 with the wicket. @kentcricket 216-7, lead by 24 runs #LanvKen
— Lancashire CCC (@LancsCCC) April 29, 2015
1.59pm - Lancashire will be sensing Kent blood now as Sam Billings, yesterday named in England's one-day international squad to play Ireland on May 8, edges Kyle Jarvis behind. A third wicket for the Zimbabwean. Kent are just 24 ahead with four wickets remaining.
1.47pm - After Notts declared at lunch, setting Hampshire 392 to win in 70 overs, the hosts are 16 without loss. Can they prevent Notts from securing a first win of the campaign?
It is still raining at the Kia Oval.
Middlebrook has five and Warwickshire have declared. Clarke caught deep mid-wicket by Fisher, smart catch. 219-7, 352 to win in 68 overs
— Yorkshire CCC (@Yorkshireccc) April 29, 2015
1.30pm - James Middlebrook continues to chip away at Warwickshire after the early lunch at Headingley. The veteran spinner takes his fourth second-innings wicket, and seventh in the match on his second White Rose debut, when he bowls Sam Hain for 24. The visitors to Leeds are 334 ahead on 202 for six.
1.13pm - As promised, here are the lunchtime round-ups.
Division One
Yorkshire went into an early lunch against Warwickshire at Headingley, with the visitors on 170 for five .
Durham are closing in on victory at home to Sussex . Ajmal Shahzad has picked all four of their wickets but the hosts need just 51 more to win .
Experiencing a washed out morning were Hampshire and Nottinghamshire , with the latter poised on 296 for four overnight .
Middlesex meanwhile had a shaky start to the day but are 148 for three , with 253 still required to beat Somerset .
Division Two
Leicestershire are in trouble in their big chase against Northamptonshire , with the Foxes on 171 for five and still needing 204 for an improbable win.
Lancashire and Kent had their own rain delay, but Kent have a slender 17-run lead with five wickets remaining.
Rain in South London meant no play before lunch between Surrey and Essex at the Kia Oval. Surrey are 95 for two and still 17 behind Essex in the second innings.
Finally, Gloucestershire are doing well to frustrate Derbyshire . On 379 for eight and with a lead of 109 means Derbyshire will have to regroup quickly to push for a win.
1pm - Lunchtime bells are ringing around the grounds. Gloucestershire and Derbyshire back in the hut, as are Lancashire and Kent. Yorkshire doing their bit for the cause meanwhile having taken lunch a short while ago.
The mopping up process is well underway. Hopeful of a 1.10pm start.
— Yorkshire CCC (@Yorkshireccc) April 29, 2015
12.56pm - Derbyshire again being frustrated by Gloucestershire.
111.3: Miles hits a four with the lead now at 100. Gloucestershire 370-8; Miles 6*, Norwell 1* #GLOvDER #P2bD
— Derbyshire CCC (@DerbyshireCCC) April 29, 2015
12.50pm - The two Sams at Old Trafford have taken Kent past 200 now. With five wickets left and just a small lead, you would think Lancashire will go all out after the lunch break. Fantastic battle ahead hopefully.
A wicket over at the Emirates Durham ICG where Durham are four down for 205 with Shahzad getting all the wickets. Calum MacLeod has just departed for 26, but the hosts need just 56 to win now.
12.45pm - ecb.co.uk's Andy Wilson at Leicestershire (305 & 152-5) v Northamptonshire (251 & 429): Only five more wickets needed now for Northants to claim their first win in 21 Championship matches since August 2013 – it is not only Leicestershire who have had a long time between drinks. Rory Kleinveldt has just broken a stubborn fifth-wicket stand by pinning Ned Eckersley for a battling 37. Niall O’Brien’s still there, having played some pleasing shots in his 36, but that victory target of 376 looks more distant than ever. Leicestershire’s best hope now may be the clouds surrounding the ground, as some rain would boost their chances of salvaging a draw.
12.44pm - WICKET! Things are falling apart for Gloucestershire maybe, as Marshall is caught by Martin Guptill off Footitt (what did I tell you about dependable?). He's got five now but that innings of 79 from Marshall was well deserved, though Gloucestershire are two away from being bowled out.
108.5: That's three stunning catches from @Martyguptill this innings! Gloucestershire lead by 94, with two wickets remaining #GLOvDER #P2bD
— Derbyshire CCC (@DerbyshireCCC) April 29, 2015
Leicestershire are also in trouble now, as Ned Eckersley is gone lbw to leave them on 152 for five.
12.39pm - Kent recover from that last wicket to go past Lancashire. A nascent lead of four, as the two Sams, Northeast and Billings, grind it out at Emirates Old Trafford.
OUT! Big breakthrough at Taunton as Rehman bowls Gubbins for 78. Middlesex 137 for 3 needing a further 265 runs. #SOMvMID
— Somerset Cricket (@SomersetCCC) April 29, 2015
12.37pm - We will, of course, bring you all the lunchtime scores as and when they roll in. Well, we can probably knock two or three off that list already with Yorkshire, Hampshire and Surrey all being hit in various capacities by the weather and taking early lunches.
12.35pm - Oh no! Fuller is at last shown the door by Derbyshire as the dependable Mark Footitt bowls him for 51. Fuller's stand with Marshall was nearing three figures but is cut short on 94. 347 for seven
12.33pm - Update (or lack of) from the Kia Oval
So no play before lunch...still raining at the moment
— Surrey Cricket (@surreycricket) April 29, 2015
12.30pm - Middlesex are digging in ahead of lunch. They are 126 for two with another 276 required so it will be a very interesting second half of the day if they decide to go all out after the interval.
Gloucestershire meanwhile are frustrating Derbyshire nicely. James Fuller reaches his 50, despite the introduction of spin by Derbyshire. A lead of 70 now.
12.24pm - Lancashire do get the breakthrough after that delay. Kent are now five down for 187 after Darren Stevens is trapped lbw by Peter Siddle. That's Siddle's fifth, while Kent are still five behind the Red Rose.
Over at Headingley, it will be an early lunch break.
12.19pm - There's been early lunch taken at the Ageas Bowl, where Hampshire and Notts are yet to have any play. Visitors Notts are 296 for four.
An early lunch has been called. It does look to be brightening up a bit, but no official word on a potential start time as yet. #LVCC
— Hampshire Cricket (@hantscricket) April 29, 2015
12.16pm - So about that Yorkshire momentum....
We're off for hail. Warwickshire 170-5 with a lead of 302. 80 overs left in the day.
— Yorkshire CCC (@Yorkshireccc) April 29, 2015
12.15pm - Will it be a similar story for Yorkshire's rivals Lancashire? The Red Rose are back out after their rain delay and it seems five overs have been lost. Kent still 12 behind on 180 for four.
12.12pm - What was in that rain? Yorkshire on fire after the interruption.
McKay gone! Stumped off Middlebrook, who has three wickets in each innings now. Warwicks 167-5 = 299 lead.
— Yorkshire CCC (@Yorkshireccc) April 29, 2015
12.07pm - Things settling down maybe in the morning's second hour (famous last words, I know!). Durham are within sight of a victory with seven wickets left.
Leicestershire have crossed 100 in their run-chase, though it's a tall order perhaps to get another 267 with six wickets left?
And speaking of tall orders...
Middx 100-2, requiring a further 302. 82 overs remain. Gubbins 59*, Voges 13*. Partnership now 55. #keepgoinglads #SOMvMID #TeamMiddlesex
— Middlesex Cricket (@Middlesex_CCC) April 29, 2015
12.03pm - Couple of half-centuries to tell you about as well. Scott Borthwick is powering Durham's chase now and crosses the landmark in 93 balls. Nick Gubbins then does the same for Middlesex who have recovered from a shaky start this morning. 90 for two for the Lord's outfit.
12pm - Yorkshire not hanging around much. Warwickshire's Ian Westwood goes after his well-made 84 with James Middlebrook trapping him lbw. Great start after the rain delay for the champions.
11.57am - Contrasting stories from either side of the Pennines to tell you about. First the good news, is that the players are out in the middle at Headingley with just four overs lost.
Now here's the bad news for Lancs and Kent fans...
Rain stops play at Emirates Old Trafford. Kent 180/4 (68.3 ov) and trail by 12 runs. #LANvKEN http://t.co/YNzv1Kd34a
— Kent Cricket (@kentcricket) April 29, 2015
11.50am - ecb.co.uk's Andy Wilson at Leicestershire (305 & 93/4) v Northamptonshire (251 & 429): Now Azhar Ullah switches ends and wins a much plumber looking lbw decision against Neil Pinner from his first ball. Niall O’Brien joins Ned Eckersley, and it’s a familiar backs to the wall battle for Leics.
11.46am - Away from the rain, Gloucestershire are the bright sparks as they make it 300 with a lead of 30. They will need to hold out well though with just four wickets left. Derbyshire will sense a big victory chance.
11.42am - Oh dear! Looks like another rain delay, this time at Headingley.
We're off for rain at Headingley. Warwickshire have a lead of 288. They are 156-3 with Westwood 83 not out. Overs are lost straightaway.
— Yorkshire CCC (@Yorkshireccc) April 29, 2015
11.35am - ecb.co.uk's Andy Wilson at Leicestershire (305 & 75/3) v Northamptonshire (251 & 429): Northants are strong favourites here now, after two early wickets. Muhammad Azhar Ullah produced a beauty to pluck out Angus Robson’s off stump, and Olly Stone has just won an lbw decision against the Leicestershire captain Mark Cosgrove, a huge blow to the Foxes, who are now 75 for three.
Hamish Marshall has just reached an individual half-century for Gloucestershire who are plugging away nicely at 292 for six against Derbyshire.
11.31am - Away from the on-field action, Hampshire have just confirmed their exciting new signing for this season has been advanced.
CONFIRMED - An early move for @westindies fast-bowler Fidel Edwards has been confirmed: http://t.co/ueJtyV9JRb pic.twitter.com/VIMssloeZo
— Hampshire Cricket (@hantscricket) April 29, 2015
Hampshire's start to the day's play has been delayed by rain of course, so plenty of time to read up on Edwards. Will he prove the difference for Hants this season?
11.25am - Leicestershire's chase is not going to plan at all. They have just lost a third wicket with Mark Cosgrove gone lbw to Olly Stone. 67 for three with 308 required. Time to dig in fellas?
Durham's chase is also taking a few punches. Michael Richardson is bowled by Ajmal Shahzad for eight. 135 required with seven wickets left.
Meanwhile, over at Emirates Old Trafford, Lancs get an early reward
Wicket! Superb bouncer from @KyleJarv89 does for Nash who can't get out of the way, ball goes of shoulder of bat to @ashyp_5 at slip, 161-4
— Lancashire CCC (@LancsCCC) April 29, 2015
11.20am - Somerset have come out firing on all cylinders here. A second wicket of the morning for Lewis Gregory to leave Middlesex on 45 for two. Nick Compton is bowled for just four to his name.
Warwickshire 124-3, leading by 256. Westwood has 56 and Hain 6. 92.1 overs left in the day.
— Yorkshire CCC (@Yorkshireccc) April 29, 2015
11.18am - A very damp picture over at the Kia Oval, with Surrey's second-innings on 95 for two.
Proper rain now pic.twitter.com/xg2C2rKiuL
— Surrey Cricket (@surreycricket) April 29, 2015
11.13am - Even-stevens at Gloucestershire, who ensure Derbyshire will bat again. The hosts are 270 for six.
Meanwhile, another couple of run-chases stutter as Leicestershire lose their second wicket. And over at Chester-le-Street...
WICKET.. Shahzad gets an early breakthrough! Richardson becomes his third wicket as he is bowled for 8. Durham 122 for 3 needing another 140
— Sussex CCC (@SussexCCC) April 29, 2015
11.09am - Play has also begun at Emirates Old Trafford where Kent are batting and have crossed 150.
Somerset have been rewarded for their persistence with a wicket. Sam Robson the first to go as Middlesex's run-chase totters early on.
11.05am - With rain in a few places, things may not look completely rosy, but Middlesex are holding out hope.
That looks better... Good luck, lads. 375 more runs to beat Somerset. We'll resume on 31-0, Gubbins 8*, Robson 15*... pic.twitter.com/tTmjXkNxvy
— Middlesex Cricket (@Middlesex_CCC) April 29, 2015
Also, a WICKET! Yorkshire's Tim Bresnan makes the early breakthrough with Warwickshire's Laurie Evans trapped lbw for 15. The visitors to Headingley lead by 246.
11.02am - ecb.co.uk's Andy Wilson at Leicestershire (305 & 46/1) v Northamptonshire (251 & 429): Leicestershire need another 329 to beat Northamptonshire. Having driven through lots of rain on way north from Hampshire, a pleasant surprise to find a prompt start at Grace Road, where stakes are high for both east Midlands counties.
