Leicestershire have handed contract extensions to Atif Sheikh, Lewis Hill and Aadil Ali.
Left-arm paceman Sheikh, who took three wickets in the first innings of Leicestershire’s ongoing LV= County Championship Division Two clash versus Glamorgan at Grace Road, has extended his current two-year deal by a further 12 months.
The 24-year-old will remain with the club until the end of the 2017 season, like batsman Aadil who has prolonged his stay by another two years.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Hill, impressive in the Foxes’ treble-winning second XI last term, is contracted until at least the climax of the 2016 campaign after signing a one-year extension.
Leicestershire and Rutland Cricket chief executive Wasim Khan MBE said: “Atif, Lewis and Aadil are all young players with a lot of talent and potential and we are delighted that they have extended their contracts with us.
“We are looking to build something that is sustainable in the long-term at Grace Road and it’s good that these three players have committed their futures to us.”
