Middlesex captain Adam Voges has been named the Sheffield Shield player of the year following his stunning performances for Western Australia.
The 35-year-old has played an integral role in his side setting up a final with Victoria at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart from tomorrow.
Voges is the Sheffield Shield leading run-scorer with 1,215 in 10 matches at an average of 101.25, including five centuries and the same amount of fifties.
He will replace compatriot Chris Rogers as LV= County Championship skipper at Middlesex this term.
