Australia Under-19s, who are coached by former England batsman Graeme Hick, have announced their squad to host England Under-19s in Perth during March and April.
Hick, who played 65 Tests and 120 one-day internationals in an England career spanning from 1991 to 2001, will be assisted by Troy Cooley, the ex-England bowling coach who aided the 2005 Ashes defeat of Australia.
With games from March 25 to April 22, England’s trip, which will be followed by a reciprocal tour to the United Kingdom this year, includes a four-day match at the WACA Ground and five one-day contests. Both tours will act as preparation for the 2016 Under-19 World Cup in Bangladesh.
Australia will be led in March and April by Jaron Morgan, who played for a Cricket Australia XI in two World Cup practice games against Bangladesh this week.
Also included in the squad is left-hander Jake Doran, the youngest player to appear in a Big Bash League game - for Sydney Thunder last month, and Queensland wicketkeeper Tom Healy, the son of former Australia gloveman Ian Healy.
Australia squad: Jaron Morgan (capt), Matt Short, Jake Carder, Sam Harper, Patrick Page, Jake Doran, Sam Heazlett, Tom Healy, Riley Ayre, Jhye Richardson, Henry Thornton, Guy Walker, David Grant, Sam Rowley, Sam Grimwade.
