Riki Wessels will line up alongside Nottinghamshire team-mate Michael Lumb for Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League after becoming a late replacement for Dwayne Smith.
With West Indies international Smith withdrawing due to personal reasons, Wessels has stepped into the breach and will be available for the duration of the tournament, which starts tomorrow.
The Australia-born batsman, also a useful wicketkeeper, joins Lumb and Hobart Hurricane Alex Hales in representing Nottinghamshire at the Big Bash.
The Sixers kick-off their campaign against Melbourne Renegades at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday.

“We are very excited that a player of Riki’s calibre was available at such short notice and we are looking forward to his arrival," Sixers general manager Dom Remond said.
"He plays county (cricket) with Michael Lumb and we know he’ll fit in perfectly with our squad.
“While we were aware of Dwayne's personal issues we received assurances from his management that he would be available for this season with the Sixers.
“Unfortunately Dwayne has had a relapse of his condition that means he is unable to join us and we wish him the best with his recovery."
