England posted a commanding 469 for three in the first innings of their crucial game against Australia in the Blind World Cup.
With the game effectively a play-off for a place in the semi-finals and both sides on three points, Australia won the toss and elected to bowl.
England, making one change with Hassan Khan coming in for the ill Peter Blueitt, immediately set about posting a big total.
Matt Dean and Mo Khatri fell relatively cheaply but it was Justin Hollingsworth, fresh off the back of a record-breaking display in yesterday’s loss to Sri Lanka, who again led the way.
Hollingsworth hit 144, his first international ton, and put on 257 with Luke Sugg for the third wicket as England accelerated towards the end of the innings.
Sugg, who now has 500 tournament runs, was again in excellent form and made his second consecutive century with 134 as England racked up the runs and set Australia 470 to win.
