ECB today launched its first ever national survey for recreational cricket officials throughout England and Wales.
The survey managed by ECB Association of Cricket Officials (ECB ACO) will give all umpire and scorers a unique opportunity to have their say on all aspects of officiating in the recreational game, influence the future development of ECB ACO and take part in a competition to win ten cricket vouchers.
Devised as part of the ECB ACO’s strategic plan, the survey is designed to give ECB ACO a greater understanding of how best to serve the needs of recreational cricket officials at all levels of the game.
The Cricket Officials Survey, is an online questionnaire which takes approximately ten minutes to complete and can be accessed via http://cricketsurveys.com/s/aco-officials-survey/
Everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a prize draw for ten vouchers for the ECB ACO shop** or ECB shop.
ECB Chief Operating Officer Gordon Hollins said: “This survey is designed to build on the detailed insights we gained into recreational cricket following the introduction of the new National Cricket Playing Survey last year.
“We received more than 37,000 responses from amateur cricketers to this year’s second annual survey and we now want to hear the views of umpires and scorers on all aspects of the grassroots game.
“The findings will help inform our wider plans to encourage more people to become match officials, benefit from the training programmes offered by the ACO and deliver the highest possible standard of umpiring and scoring across the recreational game.”
