Australia captain Michael Clarke will miss the remainder of his side's one-day series with South Africa due to a persistent hamstring injury.
The 33-year-old batsman suffered a recurrence of the problem in yesterday's first clash with the Proteas and will now miss the next four.
It is a third hamstring setback in two months for Clarke ahead of crucial period of cricket.
The Baggy Green head into a Test series with India after their South Africa fixtures, before India and England provide their warm-ups to the World Cup they are co-hosting.
Cricket Australia team doctor Peter Brukner said: "Michael had scans today in Perth for his ongoing left hamstring problem and as a result has been ruled out of the remaining matches in the Carlton Mid ODI Series.
"Michael will return to Sydney for further treatment and an update on his fitness for the first Test in Brisbane will be made in due course."
Meanwhile, Australia and South Africa have been fined for slow over-rates in the first one-day international.
