Sussex have handed young all-rounder Fynn Hudson-Prentice a junior professional contract.
The 18-year-old has advanced through the county's age-group squads and been part of the Sussex Academy for the last two campaigns.
Hudson-Prentice, a regular in the club’s second XI where he hit two unbeaten centuries in the latter stages of the season, made his first-team debut in Sussex Sharks’ Royal London One-Day Cup clash with Glamorgan in August.
He said: “I was elated to be offered a junior professional contract after being in the junior squads system since I was 10 years old.

“I am aware that the hard work starts now, and am delighted that Sussex have given me the opportunity to start the journey of what will hopefully be a long and successful career.
“I would like to thank Keith Greenfield for all his hard work and dedication over the years, and all the coaches who have played a part in my development.”
Sussex cricket performance manager Greenfield added: “It is always fantastic when a young home-grown player joins our professional staff.
“Fynn has worked hard within our squads and then our academy over nine years and knows what wearing the Martlets means.
“He fully deserves his opportunity, but this is an exciting opportunity for him to forge a long and fruitful career with the club he loves. We are all made up for him.”
