England limited-overs international Eoin Morgan has rejoined Sydney Thunder for the latest edition of the Big Bash League.
The 28-year-old will play a quartet of matches for the Thunder, boosting a top order that already includes the likes of Usman Khawaja, Jacques Kallis and Mike Hussey, before likely linking up with his national side ahead of the 2015 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
Middlesex batsman Morgan excelled during his first spell with the club, hitting 118 runs in four matches at a strike-rate of 125.53.
Thunder general manager Nick Cummins told the club’s official website: “Having someone of Eoin’s ability return this season is a major boost for the club.
“He showed during BBL03 that he is a quality player who knows how to deliver in big games. He is a great fit within our group because of his winning attitude and experience.”
Morgan becomes the third England player to sign for a Big Bash League franchise after Nottinghamshire pair Michael Lumb and Alex Hales penned deals with Sydney Sixers and Hobart Hurricanes respectively.
