Wicketkeeper-batsman Sam Billings capped a breakthrough summer by being named as Kent’s player of the season.
England Women captain Charlotte Edwards took home the female award after Kent Women joined the ceremonies for the first time.
Billings was last week named in this winter’s England Performance Programme trip to Sri Lanka after a season when he most notably starred in the Royal London One-Day Cup.
The 23-year-old hit 458 runs at an average of 114.50 to help the Spitfires to the semi-finals.
“It’s a huge honour to be voted player of the year by Kent members and supporters,” he said.
“To play for my home club is a massive buzz and I feel we have made a step forward this season and there’s more to come.
“We’ve got to build on our performances this year and be more consistent. There’s a lot of talent in the dressing room.
“To be named in the England Performance Programme has topped off the year nicely.”
Edwards helped Kent to the Royal London Women's One-Day Cup before also steering England to limited-overs series successes over India and South Africa.
“It’s an honour to lead such a great group of players and thanks to all supporters for their votes,” Edwards said.
“I’d like to thank Canterbury Christ Church University for their support of the Women’s team and hope we can progress the game in Kent in the years ahead.”
Sam Northeast was named batsman of the year while Mitchell Claydon won best bowler and players’ player of 2014.
