Warwickshire skipper Varun Chorpa was full of praise for Boyd Rankin after the England fast bowler's 3-34 laid the platform for a comfortable win over Kent Spitfires in their Royal London One-Day Cup semi-final.
Chopra went on to score 50 as the Bears chased down Kent's total of 215 with 21 balls and six wickets to spare at Edgbaston to book a Lord's date with either Durham or Notts Outlaws.
"Boyd Rankin has got the headlines and rightly so, someone of his height and pace is always going to take wickets in the middle overs which is crucial,"Chopra told ecb.co.uk.
"He's been very good for us in all forms all season. He's a big lad and he gets the odd niggle here and there, but when he bowls like that he's priceless.
"Hopefully he can do the same at Lord's now."
Warwickshire will bid tocomplete the limited-overs double in the September 20 showpiece and Chopra cannot wait to lead his side out at the famous old ground.
"The buzz of a Lord's final is special. You don't often get that as a county cricketer," he added.
"You've got the T20, which is a different atmosphere, but a day out at Lord's is definitely one to remember.
"Hopefully the lads can enjoy it and bring back some silverware for the club."
