Andrew Flintoff is in line to make his first Lancashire start since 2009 tomorrow for the club’s second XI at Arundel.
The former England skipper announced he was coming out of retirement for a second spell in professional cricket last week, signing a deal with Lancashire Lightning for the NatWest T20 Blast.
And the all-rounder, fresh from playing for his old club St Annes at the weekend, is set to continue his comeback tomorrow after he was named in the Red Rose’s 13-man squad for the Twenty20 Finals Day event.
The Red Rose face Leicestershire in a last-four encounter at 10.30am and, if they emerge victorious, will meet either Hampshire or Somerset in the final later that day.
The Lightning, who top the North Group, continue their Blast campaign on Friday night against Roses rivals Yorkshire Vikings at Emirates Old Trafford.
