Division One
Luke Wright and Ben Brown, with 183 and 152 respectively in a remarkable record-breaking unbroken sixth-wicket stand of 326, helped Sussex, who lost the toss, to 441 for five against defending champions Durham at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground.
Half-centuries from Joe Root, Kane Williamson and Tim Bresnan took Yorkshire to 310 for eight versus Warwickshire, who elected to bowl, at Headingley.
Having won the toss, Middlesex dismissed Lancashire, boosted by half-centuries from Jos Buttler and Tom Smith, for a first-innings 266 after Neil Dexter claimed 6-63 at Lord’s.

Surrey, whose decision to bowl paid off as career-best figures of 5-48 from Matt Dunn helped dismiss Glamorgan for 224, closed on 118 for six, 50 runs adrift at the Kia Oval.
Wet weather ensured there was no play possible at the 3aaa County Ground, where Kent won the toss and opted to bowl against Derbyshire.
