Follow all the action from the latest round of LV= County Championship games as Sussex duo Luke Wright and Ben Brown contribute 183 and 152 respectively to an unbroken sixth-wicket stand of 326 versus Durham.

7.20pm – Here are the close-of-play scores from the opening day of the latest round of LV= County Championship fixtures:

Division One

Luke Wright and Ben Brown, with 183 and 152 respectively in a remarkable record-breaking unbroken sixth-wicket stand of 326, helped Sussex, who lost the toss, to 441 for five against defending champions Durham at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground.

Half-centuries from Joe Root, Kane Williamson and Tim Bresnan took Yorkshire to 310 for eight versus Warwickshire, who elected to bowl, at Headingley.

Having won the toss, Middlesex dismissed Lancashire, boosted by half-centuries from Jos Buttler and Tom Smith, for a first-innings 266 after Neil Dexter claimed 6-63 at Lord’s.

There was no play between Nottinghamshire, who included the recalled Alex Hales in their starting XI, and Northamptonshire at Trent Bridge.

Division Two

Michael Carberry’s unbeaten half-century guided Hampshire to 119 for one, 105 runs behind Gloucestershire, who managed 224 after they were asked to make first use at the Ageas Bowl.

Surrey, whose decision to bowl paid off as career-best figures of 5-48 from Matt Dunn helped dismiss Glamorgan for 224, closed on 118 for six, 50 runs adrift at the Kia Oval.

Wet weather ensured there was no play possible at the 3aaa County Ground, where Kent won the toss and opted to bowl against Derbyshire.  

7.08pm – Chris Tremlett and Jason Roy, with 19 and 44 not out respectively, guide Surrey to 118 for six at the close, 50 runs behind Gloucestershire. 

6.52pm – Yorkshire close on 310 for eight against Warwickshire at Headingley. We will round-up all the scores for you when the action at the Kia Oval concludes for the day. 

6.33pm – Carberry remains unbeaten at the close at the Ageas Bowl, with Hampshire well placed on 119 for one in reply to Glamorgan's 224 all out. 

6.23pm – Lancashire are 266 all out after Finn bowls Smith for 59 to end the day's play at Lord's. 

It is also the close at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground, where Wright and Brown dominate Durham with a record-breaking sixth-wicket stand to help Sussex finish on a remarkable 441 for five. 

Warwickshire are ending on a high at Headingley, with Keith Barker and Chris Woakes removing Williamson and Bresnan for 75 and 61 respectively to leave Yorkshire 294 for eight. The duo's partnership was worth 113. 

6.11pm – Michael Carberry goes to a half-century at the Ageas Bowl, where Hampshire are 100 for one in reply to Glamorgan's first-innings 224.

The attacks of Durham and Warwickshire keep searching for another breakthrough against Sussex and Yorkshire.

5.57pm – Kyle Hogg departs for 18 to hand Neil Dexter only the second first-class five-wicket haul of his career. The bowler strikes four balls later to remove Simon Kerrigan and Lancashire are nine down at Lord's. 

Wright and Brown, their 285-run sixth-wicket partnership now the biggest against Durham, lead Sussex to maximum batting bonus points.

Another stand blossoming is Williamson and Bresnan's at Headingley, where their alliance has moved into three figures. 

5.47pm – Warwickshire take the new ball at Headingley in the hope of breaking the impressive partnership between Williamson and Bresnan. 

Surrey lose another at the Kia Oval as Gary Wilson succumbs to Fuller, his third wicket reducing the hosts to 62 for five. 

5.35pm –Wright goes to a blistering 150 from 196 deliveries while Lancashire’s Tom Smith and Yorkshire’s Tim Bresnan bring up a half-centuries.

5.12pm – Surrey’s situation worsens as Steven Davies, playing as a specialist batsman in this game rather than keeping wicket, falls to Matt Taylor.

5.03pm – Surrey are in strife now as Benny Howell traps Graeme Smith in front. If the injured Zafar Ansari can’t bat again, they are effectively 31 for four.

Centurions Wright and Brown share a double-hundred partnership as defending champions Durham’s punishment continues.

4.57pm – Brown raises a ton from just 128 balls and Glamorgan’s Graham Wagg has Jimmy Adams caught behind for 13.

4.51pm – Wright and Brown, who has 88 to his name, are hurrying Sussex towards maximum batting points. So far they have three in the bag.

4.44pm – Glen Chapple’s assault is ended by Steven Finn on 26 with Lancashire’s captain/coach miscuing a pull to mid-on.

4.23pm – As Yorkshire and Lancashire bank first batting points Fuller makes a second breakthrough in the over, removing Dominic Sibley in the same fashion as Burns.

Sussex sixth-wicket pair Luke Wright and Ben Brown share an unbroken 150-run stand, with Wright nearing three figures.

4.17pm – Gloucestershire, skittled for 168, strike a blow early in Surrey’s reply as James Fuller has Rory Burns caught behind.

4.06pm –Play has been called off for the day at Trent Bridge. Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire will have to try again tomorrow.

3.56pm – Williamson and Tim Bresnan see Yorkshire through to tea on 198 for six, while Lancashire are 190 for six at the interval at Lord's. 

Glamorgan are still going strong at the Ageas Bowl, Wallace and Helm's partnership of 64 taking their side to 223 for nine. 

3.49pm – Tea is called at the Kia Oval after Surrey finish Gloucestershire off for a first-innings 168. Dunn completes career-best figures of 5-48 by dismissing Matt Taylor for two, leaving James Fuller stranded on 17. 

3.41pm – Wright takes another at Headingley, having Adil Rashid well held by Will Porterfield at second slip for 10. Kane Williamson is still there on 32 not out. 

There is still no sign of any play at the 3aaa County Ground or Trent Bridge.

3.33pm – Luke Wright and Ben Brown are dominating Durham with a 101-run stand. Both players have fifties under their belt and Sussex are 216 for five. 

3.28pm – Chris Tremlett takes his second first-class wicket of the season to reduce Gloucestershire to 159 for eight. Cameron Herring is the man to go for nine. 

Mark Wallace, with 46 not out, and Tom Helm are frustrating Hampshire. Their unbroken last-wicket stand of 41 takes Glamorgan to 200 for nine. 

3.17pm – Buttler, on 52, is handed another life at Lord's. This time Eoin Morgan spills the chance at midwicket. Will Middlesex live to regret that?

Paceman Chris Wright bowls Jonny Bairstow for 15 to leave Yorkshire on 159 for five. 

3pm – Glamorgan are on the brink at the Ageas Bowl after losing two wickets in quick succession. Sean Ervine claims both, with Liam Dawson providing the slip catches to remove Ruaidhri Smith and Dean Cosker in the space of three deliveries. 

2.51pm – Procter's defiance ends on 19, edging to Ollie Rayner at second slip to become Neil Dexter's third victim at Lord's.

Gloucestershire are now seven down at the Kia Oval as Linley strikes again, having Ian Saxelby caught behind by Gary Wilson. 

2.35pm – Tim Linley is among the wickets at the Kia Oval. Surrey skipper Graeme Smith has taken his second catch in as many overs to get rid of dangerman Tavare for 59, reducing Gloucestershire to 130 for six. 

Lancashire's fifth-wicket pair Luke Procter and Jos Buttler battle their way to a fifty partnership at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground. 

2.28pm – Warwickshire are really turning the screw now at Headingley. Gary Ballance, having received treatment for a blow on the elbow, has been trapped in front by Barker. After losing three wickets for 26, Yorkshire are 137 for four.  

Gloucestershire are 130 for five following Benny Howell's dismissal to Tom Curran for three. 

2.15pm – Yorkshire lose another at Headingley. Skipper Andrew Gale departs in similar fashion to Root, with Chris Woakes the bowler on this occasion. 

Glamorgan batsman Will Bragg, who frustrated Worcestershire with an unbeaten 92 last week, falls one short of a fifty today as he edges Abbott behind. 

Will Tavare reaches a half-century at the Kia Oval. 

2.01pm – England batsman Joe Root chops on to left-armer Keith Barker to depart for 69, leaving the White Rose 111 for two at Headingley. 

1.54pm – Chris Rushworth makes the first breakthrough of the afternoon session, having Scotland international Matt Machan caught behind by Phil Mustard for 22 to leave Sussex 115 for five. 

Matt Dunn collects his third scalp of the day at the Kia Oval as he bowls Hamish Marshall, while Hampshire seamer Kyle Abbott removes Jim Allenby at the Ageas Bowl. 

1.12pm – Here are the lunch scores. All the teams fielding first won the toss.

Division One

Yorkshire are 105 for one versus leaders Warwickshire at Headingley, with Joe Root unbeaten on 67.

Sussex are 110 for four against defending champions Durham at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground

Middlesex have restricted Lancashire to 92 for four at Lord’s.

There is no toss so far between Nottinghamshire, who have Alex Hales in their line-up, and Northamptonshire at Trent Bridge.

Division Two

Hampshire have reduced Glamorgan to 92 for four at the Ageas Bowl.

Gloucestershire are 100 for three against Surrey at the Kia Oval.

The toss has not been possible in the game between Derbyshire and Kent at the 3aaa County Ground.

1.01pm –The start at Trent Bridge is further delayed by rain as Yorkshire, Sussex and Gloucestershire reach three figures.

Surrey’s Dunn strikes for a second time today, trapping Alex Gidman in front. That heralds lunch at the Kia Oval. We’ll soon round up the scores for you.

12.50pm – Yorkshire’s strong opening stand ends on 91 when Chris Woakes has Adam Lyth caught and bowled for 32.

Middlesex’s Neil Dexter bags his second victim in two overs by pinning Ashwell Prince in front.

12.37pm – Root goes to his second championship fifty of the season, this one from 59 balls.

Coles makes it two wickets in three personal overs by having Stewart Walters caught at second slip.

An early lunch is being taken at the 3aaa County Ground, where there has been no play.

12.23pm – Gloucestershire captain Michael Klinger goes caught behind for 24 to Tom Curran and Glamorgan’s Murray Goodwin likewise falls to Matt Coles for one run less.

12.10pm – Lancashire, Yorkshire, Glamorgan and Gloucestershire have all reached 50. Sussex are not far behind.

12.05pm – Middlesex’s Tim Murtagh, now bowling in tandem with Steven Finn, ousts Luis Reece caught behind for 23.

Here’s our story on Hales’ return to Notts, which was due to Steven Mullaney’s elbow injury.

11.54am – Sussex’s Michael Yardy, a centurion versus Lancashire last week, falls to Graham Onions thanks to Kumar Sangakkara’s slip catch.

11.31am – Some top-flight scalps fall as Durham’s Chris Rushworth gets Chris Nash caught behind and Lancashire’s Paul Horton is held at second slip off Toby Roland-Jones.

Rain intervenes at Headingley with Yorkshire on a brisk 38 for none, Joe Root going well alongside Adam Lyth. At Trent Bridge lunch will be taken at 12.30pm ahead of a planed 1.10pm start.

11.17am – Kent opt to bat first against Derbyshire, continuing today's trend.

11.11am – Two early wickets to report in Division Two. Hampshire’s Kyle Abbott has fellow South African Jacques Rudolph caught behind for nought before Surrey’s Matt Dunn traps Chris Dent in front.

10.57am – An 11.15am inspection is due at Trent Bridge. While waiting for most of the action to start shortly, why not read our feature with Hampshire captain Jimmy Adams in which he speaks about his promotion and personal ambitions?

10.48am – As you will see from the below tweet, Nottinghamshire have recalled England limited-overs batsman Alex Hales from his loan at Worcestershire, whom he played for once. Hales is set to feature versus Northants.

10.42am – The toss-winners all field first. There are two delays.

Division One

Leaders Warwickshire opt to bowl versus Yorkshire.

Sussex are put into bat by defending champions Durham.

Middlesex decide to field against Lancashire.

The toss between Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire is delayed.

Division Two

Hampshire choose to field against Glamorgan.

Surrey decide to bowl facing Gloucestershire.

The toss between Derbyshire and Kent is delayed.
