No play was possible between Kent and Leicestershire as both teams were frustrated by rain on day one of their LV= County Championship Division Two clash at Canterbury.
Rain fell steadily throughout the morning and early afternoon but the covers did eventually come off and a 3pm start was planned with Kent winning the toss and putting the visitors in to bat.
The wet weather returned, however, and it was eventually decided at 4pm that no play would be possible today.

When the match does get under way, Adam Riley will come into the Kent line-up with England spinner James Tredwell rested.
Head coach Jimmy Adams told Kent's website on the eve of the game: "We have decided to give Treddy some time away from the spotlight of first-team cricket to concentrate on some technical modifications as he readjusts to championship cricket after a winter of ODIs and T20s."
Tredwell took match figures of 3-137 in last week's 125-run loss to Worcestershire.
Charlie Shreck is set to make his championship debut for Leicestershire against the club he left over the winter while Ramnaresh Sarwan will miss out after staying in the Midlands for treatment on a sore back.
