6.52pm – It’s been an interesting Easter Sunday in the LV= County Championship. Here’s how the games stand:

Division One

Somerset, who won the toss, are seven without loss in reply to Durham’s 308 all out. Keaton Jennings top-scored with 80 while Lewis Gregory returned 4-59.

At Emirates Old Trafford Warwickshire, who lost the toss, eased to63 for none in response to Lancashire’s 247 all out in which Chris Woakes returned 5-63 and Paul Horton made 83.

Gary Ballance scored 117 not out of Yorkshire’s328 for seven after Northamptonshire were asked to field first at Headingley where Alex Lees made 90.

Division Two

Gloucestershire, having chosen to bowl, reduced Glamorgan to 47 for six by lunch at the SWALEC Stadium, but showers stopped any further action so David Payne stayed on a hat-trick.

Hampshire are 231 for five after being put in to bat by Derbyshire at the 3aaa County Ground where Will Smith struck 70.

Rain prevented play between Kent, who won the toss when there was the prospect of a mid-afternoon start, and Leicestershire at Canterbury.

There was also a washout at the Kia Oval, but with no toss possible, where Surrey are hosting Essex.

6.45pm – Ballance ends the day unbeaten with 117 of Yorkshire’s 328 for seven. We’ll round up all the scores shortly.

6.37pm – It’s the end of play for the day at Emirates Old Trafford, where Warwickshire have eased to 63 without loss in response to Lancashire’s 247, and at Derby where there is no change to the below score. Action continues only at Headingley.

6.35pm – Will Smith falls for 70 to Chesney Hughes, bringing to an end an alliance of 67 alongside Gatting. Hampshire are therefore 231 for five. Soon after, bad light forces the players off at the 3aaa County Ground.

Northants’ Hall has his third wicket of the day, snaring Liam Plunkett lbw to make Yorkshire 324 for seven.

6.14pm – Stumps are drawn at the Emirates Durham ICG where Somerset are seven without loss in reply to Durham’s 308 all out.

6.07pm – Northants and Derbyshire drop a chance each. For the former Kyle Coetzer gifts Andrew Hodd an early life at third slip. For the latter Wes Durston also spills a slip chance to reprieve Joe Gatting on 14. How costly will those be?

5.44pm –Durham are dismissed for 344 as Lewis Gregory pins Chris Rushworth in front. Somerset took the last six wickets for 89 runs.

There will be no more play today at the SWALEC Stadium where Glamorgan are 47 for six against Gloucestershire.

5.38pm – Somerset’s Peter Trego traps Gareth Breese in front to halt a stand of 65 with Jamie Harrison that has carried Durham past 300 and likewise ousts Graham Onions in the same over to leave the defending champions nine wickets down.

5.31pm – Gary Ballance, one of several batsmen hotly pursuing England selection, raises a hundred for Yorkshire.

5.15pm – Lancashire are all out for 247 as Chris Woakes gets a five-for, taking the last three wickets to do so. The first of those was Buttler, caught behind for 28, before Woakes ousted Glen Chapple for 29 and James Anderson in the last over.

Meanwhile, Derbyshire’s Mark Footitt bowls Liam Dawson for 39, ending a stand of 64 with Will Smith.

5.01pm - Yorkshire's Alex Lees has departed for an impressive 90, bowled by Andrew Hall, while Lancashire have been boosted by the evergreen Glen Chapple - who is currently outscoirng Jos Buttler.

4.50pm - It seems unlikely there will be anymore play in Cardiff, where rain continues to fall. In the other Division Two game that has seen play, Hampshire are looking good on 160 for three.

4.35pm - There was a very brief delay for bad light at Manchester but they are back on. Durham, meanwhile, slip to seven down as Johann Myburgh ousts Usman Arshad.

4.28pm - Lancashire have made an injudicious start after the interval, Tom Smith edging Jeetan Patel to slip. They are six down and letting a good start fall away.

4.04pm - It's teatime at Headingley, Emirates Old Trafford and the Emirates Durham ICG, while play has - as expected - been abandoned at the Kia Oval.

3.52pm - Another man who has fallen short of a century is Horton, trapped lbw by Keith Barker for 83. In good weather news, play is set to resume at the SWALEC Stadium in 18 minutes.

3.50pm - Durham lose another wicket and it's a big one as Lewis Gregory ousts Jennings for a fine 80. Meanwhile, play has been abandoned at Canterbury without a ball being bowled. Something tells me they may follow suit at the Kia Oval...

3.38pm - More good form being shown by those in the running for England spots with Gary Ballance now beyond 50. His stand with exciting opener Lees is now into three figures.

3.28pm - Lancashire lose a fourth wicket as the productive Procter-Horton axis comes to an end. Oliver Hannon-Dalby gets the breakthrough, having the former caught at square-leg. Lancashire debutant Jos Buttler begins with a flicked four off his pads.

3.14pm - Hampshire, who have just moved beyond 100, have lost in-form batsman James Vince for a breezy 30. Tim Groenewald got the wicket, trapping the emerging England Lion lbw.

2.57pm - Will they ever get on at Canterbury? Play's been delayed again. At Headingley, meanwhile, Alex Lees has moved to a fifty.

2.52pm - The action is back under way in Derby.

2.30pm - Phil Mustard has fallen to Craig Meschede, meaning Paul Collingwood has joined Jennings in the middle.

2.24pm - Many people tipped Keaton Jennings for a breakthrough season and he's living up to the billing. Having struck a half-century versus Northants last week, he has moved beyond 50 once more today.

2.09pm – Muhammad Azhar Ullah has a second victim of the day when he traps Andrew Gale in front.

The game between Kent and Leicestershire at Canterbury is set to start at 3pm unless there is further rain.

1.43pm – The first wicket of the afternoon session goes to Warwickshire’s Chris Woakes, who has a scalp in the same over either side of lunch. Having dismissed Andrea Agathangelou before the interval, he now snares Ashwell Prince caught behind for nought.

Rain has delayed the restart at the SWALEC Stadium, but they are going in all the games that had action this morning. We still await the start at Canterbury and the Kia Oval.

11.31am - Champions Durham are motoring along with the bat now as Keaton Jennings and Scott Borthwick click into gear.

11.15am - Durham have also lost an early wicket, Mark Stoneman edging Lewis Gregory behind for a breezy 11. Meanwhile, it's raining at Headingley...

11.04am - Glamorgan made the dream start to their campaign when beating Surrey but today has not gone to plan so far. After losing the toss, the home side have lost a wicket first ball with Will Gidman getting rid of Gareth Rees.
