Ben Stokes extended his advantage atop England's Winter FTI MVP leaderboard after impressing in the opening one-day international.
Stokes was a bright spot in the recent Ashes disappointment and looked in good touch at the MCG as his brisk 21 was complemented by a catch and a wicket.
Unsurprisingly, Gary Ballance leads England's ODI MVP after top-scoring in England's six-wicket loss, his 79 just bettering the 50 hit by Eoin Morgan - who is second.
Stokes, meanwhile, is third in those standings following his performance and will be hoping to close the gap in Friday's encounter.
The FTI MVP is a cumulative points system that rewards players for every run scored, wicket taken and catch held - and how well they do it. A player achieves bonus points based on certain criteria.
