The schedule has been altered for Australia’s series against Pakistan, which is set to take place in October.
Michael Clarke’s men were due to face their designated hosts in three Test matches. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board has opted to forego a third five-day encounter, replacing it with a series of limited-overs internationals.
Cricket Australia chief executive James Sutherland, meanwhile, confirmed the destination for the games remains unclear, with the United Arab Emirates favourite.
"Our expectation will be that it will be in the UAE, and my expectation is that it won't be three Test matches, it will probably be two Test matches and a combination of one-dayers," he said.
