7:07pm - That wraps up another day of county action. All three games in Division Two of the championship were drawn. Here's a reminder of how things stand in the two top-flight games that continue tomorrow:

Surrey are 362 for four and trail Derbyshire by 90 after three days at Derby.

After two days at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground, Sussex are 62 behind Nottinghamshire on 290 for six.

6:58pm - RESULT! Worcestershire Royals (210/9) beat Warwickshire Bears (201) by nine runs at New Road: A monstrous straight six from Javid keeps things interesting. Moeen’s next ball is then slog-swept over deep midwicket and suddenly the equation is down to 11 from 10! The game is then brought to an end, however, as a mix-up between the wickets sees Wright run out without facing. Worcestershire claim the derby spoils!

6:55pm - The vastly experienced Richardson gains his revenge, bowling Piolet with the final ball of the 38th over. Warwickshire still need 23 as Chris Wright joins Javid.

6:52pm - The Bears are not giving in. After striking a maximum in Moeen's seventh over, Piolet takes Richardson for successive fours, reducing the target to 27 off 16.

6:43pm - Warwickshire require 52 from 30 balls. Ateeq Javid and Steffan Piolet are the batsmen facing a somewhat daunting task.

6:25pm - An intriguing second day at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground comes to an end. Sussex close 66 behind on 290 for six, with each of their top eight having made it into double figures. Luke Wells and Ed Joyce each made 59, while Ajmal Shahzad picked up three wickets for Nottinghamshire.

That leaves New Road as the only venue where play is continuing...and it may not be for much longer. D'Oliveira has just pinned Darren Maddy lbw for his third wicket. Warwickshire need 70 from 59 balls, but are now eight down.

6:14pm - Not the best debut for Hain. He falls leg-before to D'Oliveira and the Bears now have a mountain to climb.

Sussex are 274 for six, with Ben Brown and Chris Jordan settling in together.

6:07pm - RESULT! Lancashire (310 & 270) draw with Gloucestershire (222 & 173/9) at Aigburth: Norwell does survive and Gloucestershire claim a draw in thrilling circumstances. What is it with Lancashire and late drama?

Mitchell now has three wickets to go with his half-century on the slow, low surface at New Road. Worcestershire's skipper has trapped Clarke lbw to leave Warwickshire 123 for six. The new batsman is 17-year-old debutant Sam Hain.

6:05pm - Andrea Agathangelou picks up a wicket with the penultimate delivery at Aigburth. Gloucestershire are nine down and last man Liam Norwell has one ball to survive!!

6:03pm - Patel's cameo proves a brief one as he dances down the track to Brett D'Oliveira and misses with a wild heave across the line to be bowled for 11.

Stumps have been drawn at Derby, Ponting having contributed 120 not out to a healthy Surrey total of 362 for four.

@LancsCCC on Twitter: McCarter has received a blow on the side of his helmet from a short delivery from White, and we will have a delay while the physio comes on

@SussexCCC on Twitter: WICKET..Joyce looks to turn Gurney to leg but loops up a catch to James Taylor in the covers. He's gone for 59 and Sussex are 249/6

5:54pm - Worcestershire have been excellent in the field and gain further reward as Ambrose clips Mitchell to square-leg. Warwickshire have sent out Jeetan Patel at six, presumably in a bid to up the run-rate.

Zander de Bruyn falls to Wainwright at Derby, where Surrey are 352 for four and 100 behind.

Gloucestershire have two more overs to survive...

5:43pm - This is a huge wicket for Lancashire! Wayne White accounts for the defiant Hamish Marshall - Gloucestershire's last remaining specialist batsman. Marshall faced 206 balls for his 44, but will it be enough?

5:40pm - Samit Patel, a centurion for Nottinghamshire yesterday, has Luke Wright caught behind for 14 at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground.

Gloucestershire's eighth-wicket pair are resisting for the time being. There are six overs left at Aigburth.

@SussexCCC on Twitter: That's 50 for Ed Joyce. The skipper has hit four fours and faced 62 balls. 219/4

5:33pm - Warwickshire skipper Jim Troughton is run out for 30 attempting a risky second to deep midwicket. That leaves his team 75 for three after 15 overs in pursuit of 211. Rikki Clarke joins Tim Ambrose, who survives a return chance to Mitchell in the next over.

5:20pm - Having seemingly recovered well from the early loss of Porterfield, Warwickshire suffer another setback as Varun Chopra falls victim to a stunning catch by Moeen Ali, leaping high into the air at mid-on. Daryl Mitchell is the wicket-taker and the Bears are 62 for two in the 12th over.

Lancashire strike again as Glen Chapple has Craig Miles held at slip.

Sussex are now past 200, for the loss of four wickets.

@LancsCCC on Twitter: 13 overs to go, Glos 163-6 Marshall 37* Miles 12*

Gloucestershire, batting for a draw, are 151 for six.
