Yorkshire have granted England seamer Tim Bresnan a benefit year.

The Pontefract-born seamer first represented his home county in 2001, becoming the youngest player in 20 years to debut for the White Rose.

He has gone on to play 21 Tests and 101 limited-overs matches for England, taking 180 wickets across all forms and playing a part in two Ashes wins and the successful World Twenty20 campaign in 2010.

Bresnan is the first Yorkshire beneficiary since Gerard Brophy in 2011.
