7:28pm - Five LV= County Championship games continue tomorrow - and we also have a Yorkshire Bank 40 derby between Worcestershire and Warwickshire to look forward to. Join us then.

7:22pm - With play having now concluded across the country, here’s a look at all the scores:

Division One

Somerset drew with Yorkshire at Taunton.

Surrey ended day two at Derby on 35 for one in reply to Derbyshire’s 452.

At the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground, Nottinghamshire, who lost the toss, ended the opening day against Sussex on 318 for eight.

Division Two

Worcestershire and Essex drew their match at New Road.

Lancashire reached stumps on day three at Aigburth on 239 for seven, leading Gloucestershire by 327.

At the end of day three at Wantage Road, Northamptonshire were 159 for five, 47 shy of Hampshire.

The third day at Tunbridge Wells finished with Kent 27 runs behind Leicestershire on 159 for one.

@SussexCCC on Twitter: Play will revert back to normal times for the rest of the match, and will start tomorrow at 11:00am..

7:20pm - That wicket for Jordan came in the penultimate over of the day. Notts close on 318 for eight and will be very grateful to Samit Patel.

7:12pm - What a shame for Patel. He cannot quite see the day through, falling for 157 to end a stand of 114 and give Chris Jordan his fifth wicket. Notts' centurion top-edged a hook and was caught by Ed Joyce.

7:10pm - Not long left at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground. Notts, 112 for six earlier today, are 318 for seven with Patel and Shahzad unbeaten on 157 and 32 respectively.

6:46pm - This really is a fine effort from Patel, who has just progressed beyond 150. Nottinghamshire have three batting points and could yet add to that.

6:26pm - Lancashire will enter the final day at Aigburth leading Gloucestershire by 327 on 239 for seven. White has 52 at stumps.

Patel has put on 79 with Shahzad thus far, having shared 92 with Franks.

6:23pm - Just the two county games still continuing then, and they will be playing for a while yet at Sussex due to their delayed start.

England have lost the first NatWest Series one-day international at Lord's by five wickets, former Derbyshire batsman Martin Guptill cracking 103 not out for the Black Caps.

6:18pm - White has a half-century for Lancashire, while Patel is now unbeaten on 136.

6:13pm - RESULT! Essex (215) draw with Worcestershire (351/6) at New Road: Samaraweera takes Worcestershire to a fourth batting point and the players promptly shake hands to end this rain-hit fixture.

Northants close on 159 for five at Wantage Road, 47 behind Hampshire after three days.

They are also done for the day at Derby, where Surrey have reached 35 for one in reply to Derbyshire's 452.

6:06pm - Stumps are drawn at Tunbridge Wells at the end of a good evening for Kent. They will enter the final day on 159 for one, trailing Leicestershire by 27.

Sussex take the second new ball and Nottinghamshire bring up a second batting point from Chris Jordan's first delivery with the fresh nut.

5:56pm - Surrey have avoided any further setbacks since the early loss of Burns.

Ajmal Shahzad is digging in to provide support for Patel at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground.

Cross exits for 64 at Aigburth, but Lancashire's lead of 302 appears a healthy one with three wickets still intact.

Essex earn a second bowling point through Masters' dismissal of Neil Pinner for seven.

@LancsCCC on Twitter: FOUR!!! Cross is on fire and smashes Miles through extra cover. He's on 58 and Lancs lead by 295 runs

5:47pm - Patel lofts Monty Panesar for six to reach 97 and immediately brings up his hundred, from 146 balls, by striking the next ball to the fence. Without his knock, Nottinghamshire would be in big trouble.

Worcestershire know they are running out of time to grab batting bonus points. Gareth Andrew falls lbw to Graham Napier with his side 15 short of 350.

5:38pm - Key and Brendan Nash have contributed 71 and 60 respectively for Kent thus far. They now trail Leicestershire by just 43.

David Masters has another at New Road, the out-of-form Alexei Kervezee bowled for seven.

@hantscricket on Twitter: WICKET: First wicket for Chris Wood as Newton (21) guides one that stuck in the pitch to gully. Northants: 132-5 (trail by 74, 1st ins).

5:29pm - Lancashire have recovered well from 62 for five at Aigburth. They now lead by 267 on 179 for six, with Gareth Cross and Wayne White in occupation.

Thilan Samaraweera has moved beyond 50 for Worcestershire.

@SussexCCC on Twitter: WICKET.. Anyon gets the breakthrough and bowls Franks' middle stump! Notts 204/7

5:20pm - The departure of Mitchell gives Essex their first bowling point.

Notts have a batting point at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground, thanks largely to Samit Patel and Paul Franks.

@WorcsCCC on Twitter: Mitchell bowled Masters for 156. 296-3

5:14pm - Rory Burns, seeking a third, is run out by Wayne Madsen from long-off to leave Surrey four for one. Vikram Solanki is the new batsman rather than Ponting.

5:07pm - Lancashire lose Prince for 64, but there is no stopping Worcestershire skipper Mitchell, who now has 150.

Surrey's reply is under way. Ricky Ponting is down to come in at three.

@surreycricket on Twitter: First five wicket haul for in Championship cricket for Surrey

@derbyshireccc on Twitter:Wicket. Johnson edges Tremlett to slip for an excellent 72 - his joint highest first class score. Derbyshire 452 all out. Footitt 8 not out

4:58pm - Notts take tea on 192 for six with Patel unbeaten on 81 and Paul Franks having contributed 28 to an unbroken partnership of 80.

4:53pm - RESULT! Yorkshire (450/5 dec & 104/4) draw with Somerset (310) at Taunton: This has been inevitable ever since Somerset avoided the follow-on this morning. Yorkshire will take plenty of positives from another fine display. James Hildreth's hundred was key for the hosts.

Meanwhile, Kent's Rob Key has a fifty to his name. The former England opener reached the landmark with the first of two successive fours off Nathan Buck.

Ashwell Prince is another batsman to have passed 50, but Northamptonshire's half-centurion, Kyle Coetzer, will not add to his total. He's out for 59, caught behind off Danny Briggs.

4:42pm - Johnson brings up a half-century for Derbyshire.

Kent are 79 for one and trail Leicestershire by 107 on the third evening at Tunbridge Wells.

It is also day three at Wantage Road, where Northants have added just eight in the last 10 overs.

By contrast, Worcestershire are now scoring freely.

@CricketingBears on Twitter: Massive congrats to Bears fast bowl on joining England's ODI squad for the NatWest Series v New Zealand

4:33pm - George Dockrell removes Gary Ballance at Taunton, where Adam Lyth has passed 50.

Nottinghamshire's revival continues, while Worcestershire have a second batting point and Lancashire's lead is now over 200.

@derbyshireccc on Twitter: Wicket. Turner has been clean bowled by Tremlett, his fourth wicket, for 8. Derbyshire 415-9 (124.3 overs); Johnson 44* and Footitt new bat

@LancsCCC on Twitter: It is also a lovely day here at Emirates Old Trafford, and look what is nearing completion...

4:19pm - Samit Patel now has 61 for Notts and his is a very valuable innings in the circumstances.

Tim Groenewald has been bowled by Tim Linley at Derby.

4:13pm - Well played Daryl Mitchell! Worcestershire's leader brings up his hundred with a four off Sajid Mahmood. At 221 for two, the Pears will be eyeing a good haul of batting points as their game with Essex drifts towards a draw.

@derbyshireccc on Twitter:400 UP! Play is back underway at the County Ground, and Derbyshire quickly move past 400; now 403-7 (120 overs); Johnson 41* & Groenewald 2*

@SussexCCC on Twitter: Jordan finds both edges in consecutive balls.. First an outside edge not finding a fielder.. The second an inside just missing the stumps!

3:55pm - An injury update from one of the teams not in action today - @DurhamCricket on Twitter: Just the one change for Sunday's team: Gareth Breese ruled out for the next 4 weeks with torn a Latisimus Dorsi muscle in his shoulder/back.

3:53pm - It is also tea-time at Derby, the hosts having moved to 398 for six.

In Division Two, Kent are going along steadily and Kyle Coetzer has a fifty for Northamptonshire.

Lancashire are effectively 185 for five at Aigburth.

@EssexCricket on Twitter: TEA and Worcestershire are 210 for 2 from 62 overs, Mitchell 98, Samaraweera 16.

3:43pm - Now Notts suffer another blow. Read hangs his bat out at a wide one from Jordan and is caught behind to be the paceman's fourth victim.

It is tea at Taunton, where Yorkshire have recovered to 65 for three. There is almost certainly just one hour more to come there with a draw inevitable.

3:41pm - We have our first wicket in a little while, courtesy of James Vince. His medium-pace has been called on more frequently this summer and, in his first over of the game at Wantage Road, it has accounted for Alex Wakely.

Moments later, Surrey strike at Derby as Meaker has David Wainwright caught in the deep for 21.

3:34pm - Derbyshire's seventh-wicket duo take their partnership past 50 and Wayne Madsen's team towards 400.

At New Road, Mitchell has been stuck on 96 for quite some time. In fairness, he has seen very little of the strike since being joined by Thilan Samaraweera.

Nottinghamshire have moved past 100 through Samit Patel and Chris Read.

3:13pm - With Mitchell four short of a century, Worcestershire lose a second wicket as Moeen hits Graham Napier to extra-cover.

@hantscricket on Twitter: It was an excellent catch from Wheater to dismiss Sales by the way, diving to his left. Important wicket.

3:03pm - David 'Jumble' Sales is caught behind off Sean Ervine at Wantage Road, where Northants are 59 for two in reply to Hampshire's 206.

Meanwhile, James Anderson has given England a welcome boost at Lord's with two wickets in the first overas New Zealand pursue 228.

2:54pm - The wickets keep on tumbling at Aigburth. Lancashire are 62 for five - a lead of 150 - after Steven Croft edges Liam Norwell through to wicketkeeper Gareth Roderick.

@SussexCCC on Twitter:WICKET..Magoffin strikes! Mullaney nicks behind to Ben Brown and Notts are 72/5 at Hove

2:45pm - We now have action in all seven games once again, as Sussex and Nottinghamshire have resumed battle.

Yorkshire are now 21 for three in their second innings, Andrew Gale having fallen to Peter Trego.

Northants have passed 50 against Hampshire, with Matthew Spriegel the only batsman out.

Kent's first wicket falls with the score on 14 as Daniel Bell-Drummond goes lbw to Ollie Freckingham.

2:33pm - A spectacular catch from Craig Miles at square-leg sends Lancashire's Stephen Moore packing for 34. Graeme McCarter then accounts for Simon Katich next ball to leave the Red Rose 47 for four!

Kirby has followed up his removal of Sayers by pinning Phil Jaques lbw for a duck.

Moeen moves to 50 for Worcestershire.

2:29pm - David Wainwright and Richard Johnson have carried Derbyshire to a fourth batting point.

Joe Sayers has fallen cheaply to Steve Kirby for the second time in the game at Taunton, although, in truth, there is little to play for there following the interruptions earlier in the week.

2:14pm - There is still every chance of a positive result at Aigburth. Karl Brown has been bowled by Liam Norwell to leave Lancashire 25 for two in their second dig. They lead by 113 on the third afternoon.

Leicestershire's first innings is brought to an end on 186 as Darren Stevens completes figures of 5-39 with the wicket of Robbie Williams.

A draw is certain at New Road, but Worcestershire's quest for bonus points is going well. Daryl Mitchell and Moeen Ali have contributed 71 and 44 respectively to a total that currently stands at 146 for one.

@LancsCCC on Twitter: Lancs 22-1 after 8 overs. Moore 14* Brown 6* and lead by 110 runs with 58 overs left today.

2:04pm - A fine first session for Sussex ends with Nottinghamshire 62 for four. Jordan has 3-16 from 10 overs and took the catch for the other wicket.

@hantscricket on Twitter: WICKET: Tomlinson traps Matthew Spriegel lbw for 3. Northants now 21-1.

@yorkshireccc on Twitter: Play set for a resumption. Yorkshire start their second innings with a lead of 140. 63 overs left today.

1:49pm - Full credit to Surrey. The visitors to Derby have fought back with four wickets for 42 either side of lunch. The latest scalp is a big one as Wayne Madsen is bowled by Stuart Meaker for 152. Derbyshire are now 337 for six.

1:44pm - Derbyshire lose a fifth wicket as Chris Tremlett has debutant Ben Slater caught behind for seven.

1:38pm - Jordan is once again turning on the style for Sussex. What a signing he appears to be. The seamer traps Cowan lbw to leave Notts 53 for four.

Northamptonshire are under way at Wantage Road and Kyle Coetzer already has two fours to his name.

Andrea Agathangelou was caught by Chris Dent - and not Gareth Roderick as stated below.

Lunch is finally being taken at Tunbridge Wells, although Leicestershire remain nine down following some determined resistance from Nathan Buck and Robbie Williams.

@LancsCCC on Twitter:WICKET!!! Play has restarted and Agathangelou is out first ball. Caught Roderick, bowled Miles. Lancs 0-1. Brown new batsman.

1:30pm - Jordan claims his second wicket, removing Taylor for 11.

1:22pm - Ed Cowan and James Taylor are rebuilding the Nottinghamshire innings; they have just brought up the fifty for the loss of two early wickets.

1:18pm -  Curse of the (text) commentator  - Kirby falls to Ashraf and Somerset are dismissed for 310. Lunch will now be taken.

1:15pm - Somerset have moved the score on to 310 for nine. Steve Kirby and Gemaal Hussain providing stern resistance.

1:05pm - Lunch will be delayed at Taunton and Tunbridge Wells, as both Somerset and Leicestershire are now nine down.

Sussex and Notts started at 12pm so will continue for a while yet. The visitors to the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground are currently 44 for two.

Madsen has reached 151 at Derby and remains unbeaten. Here are the scores from the games where the morning session has concluded:

Division One

Derbyshire are 335 for four against Surrey on day two at Derby.

Division Two

Worcestershire are 105 for one in reply to Essex's 215 on day four at New Road.

On day three at Aigburth, Gloucestershire have been dismissed for 222, giving Lancashire a first-innings lead of 88.

Hampshire have been bowled out for 206 by Northamptonshire on day three at Wantage Road.

@yorkshireccc on Twitter: Yorkshire still have a bowling point to chase here. 10 overs to get the ninth Somerset wicket. They are 303-8

12:50pm - Despite losing Hildreth for 115 to a Moin Ashraf yorker, Somerset have avoided the follow-on against Yorkshire.

Charlie Shreck removes Ollie Freckingham at Tunbridge Wells, leaving Leicestershire 155 for eight.

Hampshire are all out for 206 and lunch will therefore be taken at Wantage Road.

It is also the end of the morning session at Aigburth. Gloucestershire's first innings comes to an end at 222, Gidman the last man out as Kerrigan completes a five-wicket haul.

12:40pm - Wes Durston has fallen cheaply to the second new ball as Derbyshire captain Wayne Madsen nears 150.

Both Hampshire and Gloucestershire secure their first batting points with nine wickets down and Gidman subsequently hits Kyle Hogg for six and four to bring up his own century.

Worcestershire continue to make good progress against Essex, approaching 100 for the loss of Pardoe.

12:32pm - Make that 195 for nine at Aigburth. Liam Norwell is lbw to Kerrigan for a blob.

Azhar has a third scalp on his Northamptonshire debut, while team-mate Trent Copeland continues to impress. The Australian's current figures are 35-19-52-4.

12:29pm - Kerrigan strikes again for the Red Rose as Croft makes amends for his earlier spill by holding on to a second chance offered up by McCarter. Gidman has 85 off Gloucestershire's 195 for eight.

Notts are wobbling at 22 for two following Steve Magoffin's dismissal of Michael Lumb, which came courtesy of Chris Jordan's catch at first slip.

12:21pm - Worcestershire skipper Mitchell moves to 50 with his ninth four.

Derbyshire have claimed a third batting point by passing 300, while George Dockrell is digging in alongside Hildreth at Taunton.

Alex Gidman is counter-attacking for Gloucestershire having been left with the tail.

12:14pm - Surrey finally break the Madsen/Chanderpaul alliance! Derbyshire's overseas player is caught by Ricky Ponting at slip off Stuart Meaker for a brilliant 129. Madsen remains unbeaten on 133 in a score of 294 for three.

After hitting his wicketkeeper in the face, Kerrigan has now had a catch put down. Steven Croft is responsible for putting down Graeme McCarter.

@LancsCCC on Twitter: Brief hold up in play after Cross was hit in the face by a delivery from Kerrigan. He's carrying on after a bit of treatment.

@SussexCCC on Twitter: WICKET..Jordan bowls Alex Hales for 2 and Notts are 3 for 1

12:02pm - Essex turn to Tom Westley's off-breaks and are rewarded as Matt Pardoe is caught at short-leg off the spinner's second delivery, terminating a Worcestershire opening partnership of 62.

Play has started at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground, with Ed Cowan and Alex Hales at the crease for Nottinghamshire.

Azhar has a second scalp in as many overs for Northants, who have now picked up three wickets for one run.

Kent have claimed three for 12 at Tunbridge Wells following Stevens' removal of Josh Cobb. Leicestershire are 124 for seven.

11:54am - Steven Patterson revives Yorkshire victory hopes by getting rid of Meschede, who made 32. Somerset still need 29 to avoid the follow-on - and surely secure safety - with three wickets intact.

Leicestershire lose a second wicket in as many overs as Calum Haggett bowls Matthew Boyce.

And it is a similar tale at Wantage Road, where Andrew Hall ends Liam Dawson's 293-minute stay at the crease. The number three departs for 76 and Hampshire are 180 for seven.

11:52am - James Hildreth brings up a valuable century for Somerset and takes his seventh-wicket stand with Craig Meschede to 100 in the progress. The Taunton hosts are now 272 for six and look to be snuffing out any hopes of a Yorkshire win.

Madsen and Chanderpaul have now put on more than 250 at Derby - and at a healthy rate as well.

We have wickets in Division Two. Northamptonshire debutant Muhammad Azhar Ullah has trapped Hampshire's Michael Roberts lbw for 12, while Kent all-rounder Darren Stevens has ousted Shiv Thakor for his third scalp at Tunbridge Wells.

11:41am - Aigburth remains the place to be today if you are looking for wickets. Lancashire captain Glen Chapple removes Craig Miles for nine, which means Gloucestershire are now in a spot of bother at 166 for seven.

Mitchell is getting stuck into Sajid Mahmood at New Road. The seamer's first over has brought 12 runs.

Sussex have won the toss and will field first against Nottinghamshire when play begins at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground at noon.

11:34am - Lancashire's success apart, it has been a good morning for batting sides thus far.

Leicestershire have moved beyond 100 against Kent in another game badly affected by the weather, while fellow Division Two sides Worcestershire and Hampshire are also making steady progress.

In the top-flight, Somerset and Derbyshire continue to press on. Hildreth is seven shy of a century.

@LancsCCC on Twitter: WICKET!!! Another one for Kerrigan. Roderick bowled by the Lancs spinner for 0.

11:18am - Immediately after being struck for six, Simon Kerrigan makes a breakthrough for Lancashire by having Karl Brown held at second slip. That leaves Gloucestershire 155 for five in reply to 310 all out.

Derbyshire captain Wayne Madsen has followed Shivnarine Chanderpaul to three figures at Derby. Their third-wicket stand is now worth 219 and Surrey desperately need a wicket.

11:14am - Somerset claim a second batting point and edge closer to avoiding the follow-on. We are still awaiting our first wicket of the day.

11:03am - Worcestershire make a flying start to day four at New Road as Daryl Mitchell takes successive fours off the usually economical David Masters. That game has surely come down to a battle for bonus points after several lengthy interruptions for rain and bad light.

James Hildreth has also claimed a brace of early boundaries at Taunton. The middle-order batsman has 85 of Somerset's 243 for six.

10:53am - Not long now until the counties get under way. Play has already begun in the first NatWest Series one-day international between England and New Zealand at Lord's and you can follow live text on that game from ecb.co.uk's Matthew Sherry here.

10:42am - Sussex and Nottinghamshire are set to get their Division One clash under way from 12pm, the hosts having been involved in Yorkshire Bank 40 action yesterday evening.

Here is a summary of where we stand in the other six games already in progress:

Division One

Somerset are 232 for six in reply to Yorkshire's 450 for five declared at the start of day four at Taunton.

Derbyshire won the toss yesterday and reached 232 for two against Surrey at Derby.

Division Two

Worcestershire will continue their first innings on nought without loss on day four at New Road, Kent having been dismissed for 215.
