Leaders Yorkshire enjoyed a solid day with the bat at Trent Bridge, while unbeaten hundreds from Ateeq Javid and Laurie Evans boosted defending champions Warwickshire against Somerset on the latest day of LV= County Championship action.
6:30pm - With all the games having now come to an end for the day, here is a summary of how things stand:
Division One
Middlesex are 197 for six in reply to Derbyshire’s 385 on day two at Derby.
Warwickshire are 283 for three, responding to Somerset’s 340 at Edgbaston, with both Laurie Evans and Ateeq Javid having recorded unbeaten hundreds.
Yorkshire are 327 for eight versus Nottinghamshire after being put into bat at Trent Bridge. Luke Fletcher has taken five wickets for the home side.
Division Two
Essex are 187 for five at Southend, trailing Northamptonshire by 344 runs after the visitors totalled 531.
Glamorgan are 36 for three having bowled out Leicestershire for 203 on day one at Swansea.
Kent are 334 for six on day one at Centerbury against Gloucestershire.
6:25pm - The players are heading off at Derby. Once those at Canterbury do the same, we will bring you a round-up of the day's play.
6:15pm - They have reached stumps at Trent Bridge and Swansea.
6:10pm - Play has come to an end at Colchester, with Essex still trailing by 344 runs, though Ryan ten Doeschate will come back tomorrow three runs short of 50.
6:05pm - David Payne has a second victim as Geraint Jones is caught behind by Gareth Roderick for 27.
6:02pm - Javid reaches his maiden first-class ton with a four off Thomas. His terrific partnership with Evans is now worth 245 runs. And that is stumps on day two at Edgbaston.
5:57pm - Gurney has stepped into Fletcher's wicket-taking role pretty well. He strikes again in his next over as he has Sidebottom caught behind for nought.
5:50pm - Liam Plunkett is caught behind off Harry Gurney nine runs short of a half-century. Yorkshire are 303 for seven.

5:34pm - Fletcher has been forced to leave the field at Trent Bridge due to cramp. Andre Adams completes his fellow seamer's over. Fletcher's absence will come as welcome relief to the Yorkshire batsmen.
5:27pm - Will Bragg is on his way back to the pavilion after being given out leg before. Glamorgan are 21 for two as they respond to Leicestershire's 203.
Matt Higginbottom has a third wicket as Middlesex have been reduced to 154 for six, still trailing by 231.

5:20pm - A couple of big wickets, as Yorkshire lose Adil Rashid for 78 and Adam Voges departs for 69 at Derby.
But Evans is going nowhere at Edgbaston and he brings up a century by hitting Alfonso Thomas for successive fours, taking his partnership with Javid past 200 in the process.
5:14pm - The rain has cleared in Wales and Leicestershire have an early scalp. Gareth Rees seemed in good nick as he picked up six runs from the opening over, but to the third ball of Ollie Freckingham's first spell he edges behind to wicketkeeper Niall O'Brien.
5:10pm - Essex are in big trouble now as Trent Copeland gets rid of Ben Foakes cheaply. They trail by a massive 422 runs with five wickets left.
5:01pm - Harmison's great knock comes to an end, caught behind off Norwell for 105. He entered at 46 for three; he leaves with the score 246 for five.
Neil Dexter is bowled by Mark Footitt at the start of the 54th over, reducing Middlesex to 132 for four.
Greg Smith becomes the fourth Essex wicket to fall as he is given out lbw off Muhammad Azhar Ullah.
4:54pm - Glamorgan are not having it all their own way in Swansea. The rain has come down and delayed their start of their response.

4:44pm - Glamorgan have bowled out Leicestershire for 203 . Dean Cosker removes James Sykes for his second wicket of the innings to wrap up an excellent display from Glamorgan's bowlers.
Crook follows up his dismissal of Gambhir by trapping Ravi Bopara lbw, as Essex are reduced to 88 for three.
Adam Voges compiles a 139-ball half-century for Middlesex.

4:09pm - Michael Hogan completes a five-for as he traps Ollie Freckingham lbw in his first over after tea
Laurie Evans went into tea on 47 at Edgbaston, but he moves to 50 in the first over of the evening session. He partnership with Ateeq Javid has moved to 135.
3:58pm - Kent pass 200 in the final over before tea. Harmison is unbeaten on 79, with Darren Stevens on 38. The afternoon session also ends at Derby, with Middlesex 105 for three.
3:49pm - They are off at Trent Bridge, too. Rashid is leading the Yorkshire fightback with a 45, but Notts will be pleased with that session having taken three wickets.
3:41pm - Tea is taken at Swansea, Colchester and Edgbaston.

2:06pm - For a second occasion today Leicestershire lose two quick wickets, this time in the space of three balls from Michael Hogan, who traps Ned Eckersley and Tom Wells in front for 36 and nought respectively. That leaves the score 125 for five.
Essex’s Greg Smith strikes twice in two overs, bowling Hall for 63 and Trent Copeland for two. Northants are 501 for nine.
1:54pm - In-form Steven Crook’s innings of 63 is ended by the combination of new Essex signings Monty Panesar and Gautam Gambhir, Panesar bagging his second match wicket to make Northants 496 for seven. Crook and Andrew Hall put on 107.
