Gloucestershire have agreed terms on a new two-year contract extension with Chris Dent.
The 22-year-old top-order batsman and part-time spinner has committed to the club until 2016.
Dent has been a regular in all formats throughout the current campaign and struck his fourth first-class century in his last LV= County Championship outing - an unbeaten 129 as the Division Two promotion-chasers drew against rivals Northamptonshire.
The former England Under-19 international said: “I am really pleased to have extended my contract for another two years at the club I grew up at, and am looking forward in helping the team push for promotion.”
Chief executive Tom Richardson added: “We are delighted that Chris Dent has signed an extension to his contract.
"Chris is a product of our academy and I’m really keen to see him go from strength to strength. We have a strong feeling that the best is yet to come.”
