Live text commentary on the latest round of Yorkshire Bank 40 games, where Hampshire Royals, Gloucestershire Gladiators and Yorkshire Vikings were the day's early victors.

7:43pm - Durston has his second wicket as Tom Smith departs for 26 but Lancashire are well placed on 90 for two as the innings reaches its halfway point.

Sussex have flown out of the blocks at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground and are 39 without loss in the fourth.

Notts are 31 for none and moving at a similarly rapid pace, while Kyle Coetzer is closing on a half-century with Northants 84 for two against Kent. They need 105 more runs to win.

7:30pm - Essex lose an early wicket against Durham in pursuit of 139 to win. Hamish Rutherford falls for four, caught by Gareth Breese off the bowling of Mark Wood.

7:25pm - Ed Joyce and Luke Wright have started Sussex's victory chase against the Netherlands.

7:20pm Worcestershire Royals have posted 220 for eight in their match with Notts - a contest reduced to 37 overs per-side by rain. No Royals contribution exceeded that of 56 from captain Mitchell. Shahzad's three wickets came at 6.75 runs per over, while Ball and Harry Gurney claimed 2-38 and 2-39 respectively.

7:16pm Stephen Moore was looking well set for Lancashire but is bowled by off-spinner Wes Durston for 34. The hosts are 60 for one in their chase of Derbyshire's 190 for nine.

Mitchell Claydon has trapped David Sales lbw and Northants are 40 for two after nine overs of their reply.

7:10pm RESULT! Yorkshire Vikings (266/6) beat the Unicorns (234 all out) by 32 runs. The White Rose are indebted to yet another excellent hundred from Gary Ballance and some sensational death bowling from Jack Leaning that saw the youngster return 5-22 from four overs. The Unicorns had their own centurion in Matthew Lineker but the search for a maiden win in this season's competition rumbles on.

7:08pm - Five wickets for Graham Napier! Essex's hero from earlier this afternoon returned to wrap up the Durham innings and end with magnificent figures of 5-21. That came after Mills removed Smith for 53 and Mark Wood for nought with consecutive balls. The upshot is the Dynamos are all out for 138.

The Netherlands become the fourth team to be dismissed in the opening innings today, as they post 185 all out against Sussex - spinner Beer is the pick of the bowlers thanks to 3-49.

The end is nigh for the Unicorns, who have slumped to 234 for nine chasing 267 at Yorkshire with 11 balls remaining.

6:56pm - Chris Jordan has bowled Paul van Meekeren and the Netherlands are 183 for nine.

The Unicorns have lost another - Keith Parsons departing for a brisk 31 and the requirement stands at 41 from 23 balls.

Northants and Lancashire are 25 for one and 27 without loss in their respective run chases. The former saw David Willey fall cheaply to Matt Coles.

6:48pm - Yorkshire's Jack Leaning has his first senior wicket and it's a big one as Linekar is trapped lbw! The Unicorns are 206 for five and need 61 from 35 balls.

6:45pmRESULT! Gloucestershire Gladiators (164/3) beat Leicestershire Foxes (163 all out) by seven wickets. The imperious Klinger struck his eighth four to go with two maximums and finish unbeaten on 89 as his side cantered to victory with almost 10 overs to spare.

6:37pm - Thilan Samaraweera is trapped lbw by Jake Ball and Worcestershire are 174 for four with six-and-a-half overs to come from Notts.

6:32pm CENTURY FOR MATTHEW LINEKER! The 28-year-old Unicorns opener has a moment to savour at Headingley as he reaches three figures for the first time in his career. The visitors have wickets in hand - can they do it?

6:28pm - Will Beer joins Liddle in having two wickets as James Gruijters is stumped. The Netherlands are 157 for seven with 12 overs remaining.

6:22pm - Durham have 100 up and Will Smith is playing an excellent hand in the circumstances. He is unbeaten on 42 and has Gareth Breese for company.

The Netherlands are past 150 but Chris Liddle has his second wicket to leave them six down.

6:16pm - Two more matches have reached their halfway points. Here are the vital statistics:

Kent Spitfires posted 188 for seven against Northants Steelbacks at Wantage Road, thanks largely to an unbeaten 46 from captain Geraint Jones.

Derbyshire Falcons reached 190 for nine versus Lancashire Lightning at Old Trafford, where two wickets in the final over from Kabir Ali saw the former England man return figures of 4-37.

6:11pm - Half-centurion Wesley Barresi and skipper Peter Boren have fallen in quick succession, the latter for a duck, and the Netherlands are 129 for five in the 24th over at the BrightonandHoveJobs.com County Ground.

The Unicorns are 147 for three chasing 267 with 14 overs remaining at Headingley having just lost Garry Park caught behind off Moin Ashraf. Lineker has 89.

Kabir has Wainwright caught by Prince for 40 and Derbyshire are 187 for eight in the final over of their innings.

6:06pm - Worcestershire skipper Daryl Mitchell also raises his bat BUT falls to Ajmal Shahzad later in the same over for 56. He's the third man out with the score on 121.

6:02pm - In-form Gloucestershire captain Michael Klinger has a half-century. The Australian might have seen Chris Dent depart to Josh Cobb for 31 but the Gladiators are coasting to victory over Leicestershire.

5:59pm - Muhammad Azhar Ullah bowls James Tredwell for nine and Kent are now 153 for seven after 36 overs.

Essex paceman Tymal Mills is in on the act at Chelmsford. Gordon Muchall departs caught behind for 11 and Durham are 64 for six.

Madsen is still there on 74 at Emirates Old Trafford and has found a useful ally in David Wainwright. The partnership is worth 74 and, with the score 167 for six after 37 overs, Derbyshire's bowlers will at least have something to defend.

5:49pm - RESULT! Hampshire Royals (137/1) beat Scottish Saltires (136 all out) by nine wickets. Vince sweeps a four from the first ball of the 16th over to end unbeaten on 75 and complete an absolute rout for Hampshire north of the border. Earlier, Sohail Tanvir, Dimitri Mascarenhas, Chris Wood and Danny Briggs helped themselves to two wickets apiece and the Royals go top of Group B. Judging by Durham's struggles at Essex, they may well remain there at the end of the evening.

5:46pm - A four off Rich Pyrah brings up a half-century for Matt Lineker but the Unicorns are falling further behind the rate at Headingley.

5:44pm - He might have lost Carberry for 45, but James Vince has a superb 69 not out to his name, containing 11 fours from 49 deliveries. At 130 for one, Hampshire's work is almost done in Glasgow.

5:37pm - Lancashire off-spinner Lilley has 4-30 having removed Alex Hughes and Tom Poynton in the same over - the latter for a duck - but Derbyshire captain Wayne Madsen has brought up a half-century and is leading the charge with the score 136 for six.

5:23pm - Crook is back into the Northants attack and back among the wickets. This time the all-rounder claims the vital scalp of Northeast, bowled for 44. He has 3-17 from five overs and, on 111 for five after 27, Kent's prospects of posting a competitive total appear to be fading.

5:20pm - The Unicorns have moved nicely to 65 without loss against Yorkshire after 12 overs. Even so, the required rate creeping above seven is something well-set openers Tom Lancefield and Matt Lineker will have an eye on

5:15pm - Do Michael Carberry and James Vince have plans this evening? In pursuit of Scotland's modest total of 136 all out, the Hamsphire openers have raced to 69 without loss after eight overs. They have 35 and 32 to their respective names.

Gloucesteshire are 41 for one having lost Hamish Marshall in the fifth over. The Gladiators need 164 to beat Leicestershire.

5:05pm - Phil Mustard is Napier's latest victim. The seamer now has 4-12 from four.

4:55pm - After two overs, Napier has figures of 3-1. Paul Collingwood is the next to go, edging a yorker on to his own stumps.

Derbyshire and Kent also lose further wickets; Ben Slater is stumped off Lilley while Lee Daggett ousts Darren Stevens at Wantage Road.

4:45pm -  What a terrible start for current Group B pacesetters Durham! Graham Napier has started the match with a double-wicket maiden, getting rid of Mark Stoneman and Scott Borthwick within the first five balls of the match.

Kent have lost Brendan Nash for 34 in the 16th over, while Derbyshire are three down as Arron Lilley bowls Paul Borrington.

4:40pm - Group A leaders  Notts Outlaws have won the toss and asked Worcestershire Royals to bat first. That game has been reduced to 37 overs per side following the rain delay and will start in five minutes.

4:25pm -  Gordon Drummond was one of two wickets from Chris Wood in the final over of Scotland's innings, meaning our three early starts have all reached the halfway point:

Scottish Saltires  posted  136 all out against Hampshire Royals  in Glasgow.

Leicestershire Foxes were  163 all out versus Gloucestershire Gladiators  at Bristol.

Yorkshire Vikings  made  266 for six  against the Unicorns  at Headingley.

4:20pm  Durham  have won the toss and elected to post at total at Essex , with the Netherlands doing likewise at Sussex

4:17pm  - By way of following on from Gloucestershire's predictable Twitter riff below, Robbie Williams has come undone and  Leicestershire are 163 all out  in 35.3 overs. Fuller, Miles and David Payne finish with two wickets apiece.

4:14pm -  Beaven partially atones for his error by removing Ballance for 139 in the final over but  Yorkshire post 266 for six against the Unicorns. Plunkett finished with an unbeaten 25 off 16 balls.

Kabir has Chesney Hughes caught in the deep by Ashwell Prince for 15 and Derbyshire are 29 for two.

4:05pm - Unicorns seamer Dominic Reed has come in for some serious punishment at the hands of Ballance. After opening the 38th over with consecutive fours, the left-hander was dropped by Luke Beaven. To add insult to injury, he went six, four, four to complete set of six.

4:02pm Tanvir has his second wicket, removing Matthew Cross for a watchful 22 and Scotland are 114 for eight in the 38 th over.

3:57pm Hundred for Gary Ballance!  The Yorkshire middle-order batsman continues his magnificent campaign across all formats by bringing up another century. Alongside fellow England Lion Liam Plunkett, he appears to be upping the ante - the Vikings are 217 for five with three overs remaining and well set for a final assault.

3:55pm - Derbyshire have found Lancashire opening bowlers Kabir Ali and Glen Chapple to be in miserly form early on at Emirates Old Trafford. The latter's first 10 deliveries were all dot balls before he sent down a wide.

3:50pm – Kent’s Sam Northeast flew out of the blocks with two fours in the first over against Northants but opening partner Rob Key departs for a duck, Matthew Spriegel holding on to give Steven Crook the wicket.

Yorkshire have passed 200 and, despite the loss of Jack Leaning, Ballance is just two away from three figures.

The procession continues at Bristol, with Anthony Ireland falling to Benny Howell one ball after sending the same bowler for six.

3:35pm - It gets worse still for the Foxes, who have Michael Thornely run out at 102 for seven in the 26th over. However, Scotland have outdone them, Majid Haq becoming their seventh wicket while still in double figures.

At Headingley, Park dismisses Adam Lyth cheaply.

3:23pm - Fuller has a second scalp, the dangerous Shiv Thakor for 10, as the Foxes lose their sixth scalp.

Kent opt to bat first versus Northants in their Group A game, with the second-placed hosts to face opponents in third from 3:40pm.

3:16pm - Scotland are in big trouble at 64 for six with Moeen Iqbal falling to Briggs and Preston Mommsen run out.

Leicestershire find themselves five down, on-loan Tom Smith halting Niall O’Brien’s progress on 43.

Lees’ fun is over with Garry Park having him lbw for 63. He added 143 with Ballance.

2:58pm - Alex Lees and in-form Gary Ballance raise fifties for Yorkshire, who are 117 for two from 21 overs.

Payne has a second wicket as Matthew Boyce is cheaply caught behind. Hampshire's Danny Briggs ends Hamish Gardiner’s resistance on 29.

2:46pm - Leicestershire lose a third wicket, Ned Eckersley going to David Payne for 18. The Foxes are 60 for three in the 15th over.

2:27pm - The Saltires are three down as Sohail Tanvir removes Calum MacLeod.

At Bristol, Gloucestershire’s Craig Miles has Greg Smith caught behind.

Yorkshire become the first team today to reach 50.

2:01pm - Scotland and Yorkshire each lose two early wickets - Dimitri Mascarenhas snaring Freddie Coleman and Richie Berrington, while Vikings skipper Andrew Gale and Dan Hodgson also fall.

Meanwhile Leicestershire lose captain Josh Cobb to James Fuller, who has just signed a two-year contract extension.

1:50pm - The three early games are under way. Stay here for updates.

1:35pm - In the three matches beginning shortly Gloucestershire, Hampshire and the Unicorns have opted to chase.

Of those in early action holders Hampshire are best placed, sitting second in Group B. Gloucestershire and Leicestershire can still qualify from Group C, particularly after leaders Somerset lost yesterday.
