Leg-spinner Yasir Shah’s four second-innings wickets eased Pakistan to a 328-run victory, with more than a day and a half to spare, and a 1-0 series defeat of hosts Bangladesh.

The Tigers, starting the day on 63 for one, folded meekly for 221 in Mirpur, meaning a disappointing end to a Pakistan tour that started with the hosts sweeping the one-day series 3-0 and winning the one-off Twenty20 international.

The two-Test rubber began with a high-scoring draw in Khulna, but Pakistan were always on top in Mirpur once Azhar Ali's double-hundred led them to 557 for eight declared in their first innings.

Having bowled the hosts out for 203 and declared again after a brisk 195 for six, they ended Bangaldesh's notional pursuit of 550 as Yasir took 4-73 to add to his first-innings 3-85.

Azhar, who also made 83 in the first Test, was unsurprisingly named player of both the match and series.

Bangladesh today lost wickets at all-too-regular intervals, though Mominul Haque progressed from his overnight 15 to make it 11 consecutive Tests with a half-century.

Pakistan enjoy their 1-0 series win, which came after they had lost the one-day rubber 3-0 and one-off Twenty20 international

He is only the fifth player to achieve the feat and is in stellar company. West Indies' Viv Richards and Indian pair Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir each had a run of 11 while next month against India, Mominul will have the chance to match South African AB de Villiers' all-time record of 12.

Tamim Iqbal was first to go today, for 42, lazily edging behind off Imran Khan, who soon had Mahmudullah held at slip.

Shakib al Hasan made a busy start but was tempted into a rash shot in spinner Mohammad Hafeez's first over and was held at mid-off.

Mominul reached 50 in the next over but quickly lost another partner in Mushfiqur Rahim, bowled by Yasir without scoring, and Soumya Sarkar could only manage a single before he was caught behind off Wahab Riaz.

The end was in sight when Yasir ended Mominul's vigil at 68 with the help of a loose drive to Asad Shafiq at cover.

Shuvagata Hom at least offered some defiance with 39, putting on 34 with Taijul Islam and 44 with Mohammad Shahid, but when he was ninth out the match was over, with Shahadat Hossain absent hurt as in the first innings.
