By Matt Somerford, Will Jackson & Rob Barnett
5.50pm – Guptill goes for a mighty 227 from 176 balls off Matt Taylor, who has 5-88! What a sensational innings from the New Zealander, in the form of his life having made 237 not out last month in the World Cup versus West Indies.
OUT: 4 for Gregory! This time Dexter (7) is caught and bowled. Middlesex still trail by 152 runs, 5 down. #SOMvMIDpic.twitter.com/SshmdZs3al

5.41pm – Middlesex captain Voges falls two short of a ton, going lbw to Lewis Gregory, who soon cheaply snares Neil Dexter caught and bowled.

5.20pm -ecb.co.uk’s Callum Dent at Yorkshire (88/3) v Warwickshire (435 all out) – Controversy here at Headingley as Pujara edges Rankin’s second ball behind and gloveman Pete McKay collects on the second attempt just before the ball hit the ground. The Indian stays at the wicket until the umpire sends him on his way.
WICKET! Rushworth with the breakthrough as Nash (24) edges behind and @colonel19 takes an excellent catch. 55/1, a lead of 51 #DURvSUS

5.15pm – Thakor falls for 83, ending a magnificent stand of 190 with Guptill, who has 167 to his name. Matt Taylor then traps Alex Hughes lbw first balls but Harvey Hossain prevents a hat-trick! Derbyshire are 381 for six.
Pujara loses his partner, Will Rhodes departing for 46. Northamptonshire’s Richard Levi is also on his way.
WICKET - @vincey14 (32) is run-out attempting a quick second run and the vice-captain departs - 142-4 #LVCC

Well done to @NickBrowne4 on his century! #SurvEsspic.twitter.com/fn3KcDPlvP

4.55pm – A flurry of action to report.
They’re back on at Taunton where Jamie Overton ousts Nick Gubbins for 92, ending a stand of 139 with Adam Voges.
Thakor has a fifty for and Guptill reaches 150 for Derbyshire while Lancashire’s Peter Siddle traps Darren Stevens in front.
Nick Browne has a ton for Essex versus Surrey.

— Nottinghamshire CCC (@TrentBridge) April 27, 2015
4.34pm – Shiv Thakor is following Martin Guptill’s lead, striking James Fuller for a six in an over worth 17!
Jimmy Adams and James Vince share a fifty partnership for Hampshire, who are 121 for two in reply to Nottinghamshire’s 371.
4.32pm -ecb.co.uk’s Callum Dent at Yorkshire (65/1) v Warwickshire (435 all out) – Cheteshwar Pujara, or Steve to his new team-mates, confidently pulls Chris Wright to the boundary. Will Rhodes also looks in good nick at the other end. Still waiting for Boyd Rankin to be thrown the ball. The sun is back out in Leeds now.
70.3: #SIX! @Martyguptill clears the ropes to give Derbyshire a lead of one run. Derbyshire 276-4; Guptill 129*, Thakor 22* #GLOvDER

4.23pm – Play is resuming round the grounds after tea. Stay here for the latest updates.
4pm - Hastings' fun comes to an end on 72, but he's done a brilliant job to get Durham ahead, albeit by just four runs as they are bowled out for 339.
Northeast reaches 14* + 5,000 first-class career runs. Stevens 9*. Kent 120-4 (30ov) http://t.co/YtWKfFP1Ul#LANvKENhttp://t.co/44C7Bhqyof
— Kent Cricket (@kentcricket) April 27, 2015
3.51pm - It's been the tale of the two tail-end partnerships at Durham. After Robinson and Hobden's heroics yesterday, Hastings and Arshad added 116 for the ninth wicket today before the latter fell for 35.
Jimmy Adams has reached a stubborn half-century for Hampshire against Notts. In case you missed the earlier news, Jackson Bird has been forced to fly home due to a shoulder injury.
Lees gone and that's tea! Trapped lbw playing back to Patel for 19. Yorkshire 41-1 after 15.5 overs.
— Yorkshire CCC (@Yorkshireccc) April 27, 2015
3.39pm - An excellent stand of 155 comes to an end at the Kia Oval as Jaik Mickleburgh falls lbw for 61.
Ben Raine follows McKay back to the pavilion after being bowled by Muhammad Azhar Ullah for a well-made 47. Charlie Shreck follows shortly after to give Leicestershire a lead of 54 at the change of innings.
3.34pm - Josh Cobb has got a wicket against his former county and it's an important one as Clint McKay's entertaining innings of 47 comes to an end with Leicestershire holding a narrow lead.
3.31pm - ecb.co.uk’s Callum Dent at Yorkshire (31/0) v Warwickshire (435 all out) – Warwickshire, with 435 on the board, are understandably adopting aggressive fields, leaving a big gap between point and wide mid-off. Will Rhodes and Alex Lees have hit that space several times and seen off new-ball bowlers Chris Wright and Keith Barker, replaced by Rikki Clarke and Jeetan Patel respectively. No sign of big Boyd Rankin yet.
.@johnhastings194 (45*) lofts one over the infield and brings up our 300. @usman_arshad65 is on 26* and we are now just 34 behind #DURvSUS
— Durham Cricket Club (@DurhamCricket) April 27, 2015
3.24pm - Joe Denly's stay at the crease is also ended by Jarvis, who is on a roll with 3-12.
3.14pm - An early tea has been taken at Taunton as the weather worsens, while Michael Carberry has nicked off to second slip to give Luke Wood a first wicket at the Ageas Bowl. That leaves Hampshire 71 for two.
Guptill hits his first Championship century for Derbyshire! A textbook straight drive to the boundary advances the New Zealand batsman on to a run-a-ball century, his second for the club if you include his knock against Cambridge MCCU.
A Raine boundary records the 50 stand, the second batting point and moves us into the lead
— Leicestershire CCC (@leicsccc) April 27, 2015
3.05pm - After losing three wickets for no runs, John Hastings and Usman Arshad have got the Durham innings back on track with a fifty partnership. Hastings in particular has been striking the ball very cleanly.
Rob Key has got an inside edge through to Alex Davies to give Jarvis a second wicket at Emirates Old Trafford.
2.54pm - Kent have made a solid start to their innings after the troubles of last week. Daniel Bell-Drummond has fallen however, with Kyle Jarvis having him caught in the slips to make it 62 for one.
RAIN: The players rush off as the weather takes a turn for the worse. Middlesex 194/2, updates as we get them #SOMvMID
— Somerset Cricket (@SomersetCCC) April 27, 2015
2.41pm - Madsen's stay at the crease didn't last long, and Wes Durston has gone for just a single which has turned the game on its head at the Bristol County Ground.
Meanwhile Essex's strong start continues against Surrey as Nick Browne raises a fifty to bring up the hundred opening partnership.
2.35pm - ecb.co.uk’s Callum Dent at Yorkshire v Warwickshire (435 all out) – Middlebrook finishes off Warwickshire by pinning Boyd Rankin lbw, finishing with 3-96 on his second White Rose bow. Yorkshire will need to apply themselves well against a good bowling attack if they are to stay in this game.
NEWS - See the latest injury update on Australian fast-bowler Jackson Bird here: http://t.co/fVbSVzeMeepic.twitter.com/DAYX897t41
— Hampshire Cricket (@hantscricket) April 27, 2015
2.25pm - It's all happening up at Durham, and you just can't keep Oliver Robinson out of the game. He's snared Paul Collingwood as the home team's collapse continues - could Robinson add a five-for to his earlier hundred on debut?
Tom Wells has departed for 18 as Leicestershire's excellent start is slowly subsiding.
2.17pm - ecb.co.uk’s Callum Dent at Yorkshire v Warwickshire (426/9) – Tim Bresnan has five wickets to leave Warwickshire on the brink. Patel’s cameo comes to an end when he thumps the right-arm seamer to Steven Patterson at mid-off.
Ajmal Shahzad looks to have found a new lease of life on the south coast and his start to the season only gets better as he picks up the timely wicket of Calum MacLeod for 22 and follows it up with that of Phil Mustard second ball.
.@Middlesex_CCC 157/2 after 43 overs. The clouds have moved in here at Taunton and the light has deteriorated, still OK for now #SOMvMID
— Somerset Cricket (@SomersetCCC) April 27, 2015
2.12pm - I'm so, so sorry Derbyshire fans. Ben Slater has now departed for 56 to Liam Norwell, although that brings Wayne Madsen to the crease if that's any consolation.
2.11pm - Martin Guptill has followed in his fellow overseas' footsteps. He's cracked a 55-ball half-century for Derbyshire who are well on their way to wiping out a first innings deficit with just two wickets lost.
2.02pm - ecb.co.uk’s Callum Dent at Yorkshire v Warwickshire (404/8): Dougie Brown may have given his Warwickshire troops the signal to step on the gas at lunch. Jeetan Patel launches James Middlebrook back over his head for a maximum in the second over of the new session. The New Zealander then loses his partner Keith Barker, though, bowled by Middlebrook. It has got a little bit gloomy here. Maybe a chance for Warwickshire to hit out or get out before having a bowl!
Adam Voges enjoyed a remarkable domestic season in Australia and it looks like he's continuing in the same vein with Middlesex as he passes 50 for the second time in a row, following a vital 72 last time out.
Wonderful cover drive from @Colly622 brings his first boundary and the team's 200. The deficit is now 135 with five wickets in hand #DURvSUS

1.45pm - Apologies to any die-hard Lancashire or Kent fans out there, waiting for our live updates. Unfortunately our man, Bibhash Dash, is suffering from illness and is calling a premature end to his day. We will continue to bring you news from Emirates Old Trafford however.
1.18pm - Here is the lunch round-up:
Sussex seamer Ajmal Shahzad struck twice in the session as Durham otherwise dug in as they reached lunch on 189 for five.
Warwickshire progressed to 382 for seven after Ian Westwood fell just short of a maiden Championship double-century against Yorkshire at Headingley.
Vernon Philander claimed a quick wicket before lunch to leave Hampshire 10 for one after they bowled out Nottinghamshire for 371.
Nick Gubbins’ unbeaten half-century ensured Middlesex recovered from losing Sam Robson to the second ball of the day to be 123 for twoagainst Somerset.
Derbyshire profited from some generous Gloucestershire fielding, they dropped three catches this morning, to be 118 for one with Ben Slater unbeaten on 51.
Kent wicketkeeper Sam Billings claimed six catches in the innings as Lancashire were bowled out for 444 after lunch was delayed by 10 minutes.
Essex made a steady start to their reply at 29 for none after Surrey lost their final four wickets without scoring to be bowled out for 340 at the Kia Oval.
Northamptonshire's seamers took five wickets in the second hour of the morning session to fight back against Leicestershire who took lunch on 177 for six.
1.10pm - ecb.co.uk's Bibhash Dash at Lancashire (444 all out) v Kent: And that will be it for Lancashire, as Simon Kerrigan is the last man out, caught behind to Claydon for his fourth wicket and Billings' sixth catch. All sorts going on in this slightly extended session. Jarvis lit up things with some good shots out, and even caused a ball replacement after he sent one into the stands. But it's lunch at last. Over to you, Kent.
WICKET - On the stroke of lunch, Richardson is trapped LBW by a Shahzad ball that nipped back. 189/5 at the break, trailing by 146 #DURvSUS
— Durham Cricket Club (@DurhamCricket) April 27, 2015
1.02pm - ecb.co.uk’s Callum Dent at Yorkshire v Warwickshire (382/7): Fisher deservedly claims a wicket just before the lunch interval, finally getting Clarke by trapping him lbw. Warwickshire will be pleased with their morning-session work, though, adding 112 runs for the loss of just three wickets. They are in a strong position. However, the weather, forecast to arrive around 5pm today and come and go on the final two days, could have an impact on the result at Headingley.
Across the Penines, lunch is being delayed while the 10th-wicket stand goes on. Kyle Jarvis is enjoying himself as he has just planted Adam Riley into the seats.
12.59pm - Leicestershire will be looking forward to the lunch break so they can regroup. Niall O'Brien is the latest to fall as he nicks Muhammad Azhar Ullah to Adam Rossington. The Foxes have lost their past five wickets for 37.
Clarke gone! Richly deserved wicket for Fisher, who has been trapped lbw, 39. 380-7.
— Yorkshire CCC (@Yorkshireccc) April 27, 2015
12.55pm - Slater brings up a half-century for Derbyshire while Philander has struck with the new ball at the Ageas Bowl - Dawson bowled by a cracker.
12.50pm - Claydon removes Bailey now for a defiant 21 as Billings accepts his fifth catch of the innings. This one is off a top edge that he holds easily.
Stone bowls a beauty to Cosgrove, knocking over the skippers poles for 11. Great fight back from Northants. pic.twitter.com/Gzq7ub86SX
— Northants Cricket (@NorthantsCCC) April 27, 2015
12.42pm - ecb.co.uk's Bibhash Dash at Lancashire (399/8) v Kent: Oh that is heartbreaking for young Davies! Heading for a maiden first-class century in 23 innings, and what does he do? Slash hard at a Claydon delivery to be brilliantly caught at second slip by Matt Coles for 99. The mind boggles!
David Willey has his second wicket of the morning session at Grace Road as he bowls Neil Pinner for a duck. Leicestershire are starting to wobble at 162 for four - trailing by 89 runs.
WICKET - @daws128 takes the final wicket of Ball (26) to conclude the innings - @TrentBridge finish on 371 #LVCChttp://t.co/lsDRklep72
— Hampshire Cricket (@hantscricket) April 27, 2015
12.35pm - ecb.co.uk’s Callum Dent at Yorkshire v Warwickshire (360/6): Just when it looked like Yorkshire were going to suffer at the hands of another double-centurion, Westwood is gone. The left-hander fails to emulate Hales at Trent Bridge last week after falling lbw to Middlebrook, who snares his first victim on his second White Rose bow.
12.33pm - Oliver Robinson strikes. Here we go again? Borthwick nicks one after making 23.
Nick Gubbins has a half-century at Taunton with Middlesex 96 for two.
26.2: #Wicket: Godleman goes for 44, caught by Roderick, bowled by Norwell. Derbyshire 88-1; Slater 39*. Guptill is in next. #GLOvDER#P2bD
— Derbyshire CCC (@DerbyshireCCC) April 27, 2015
12.17pm - Lancashire wicketkeeper Alex Davies moves to a career-best 92 with a four through midwicket. His partnership with Tom Bailey is worth 50.
Scott Borthwick is fine after that earlier blow at the Emirates Durham ICG and has just struck a boundary through the leg side. Durham are 159 for three.
Northants get a second wicket in the session with Ned Eckersley caught by Alex Wakley off Olly Stone.
WICKET | Robson edges Willey and Peters takes the catch at slip. 139-2
— Leicestershire CCC (@leicsccc) April 27, 2015
12.07pm - Surrey's tail has folded as they are bowled out for 340. They lost their last four wickets without scoring in a 13-ball spell. Ryder is in the game again as he holds on when Tom Curran offers a catch off Napier for nought. Matt Dunn also makes a duck as he is bowled by Napier, who finishes with 3-63.
12.01pm - Essex strike a couple of quick blows around the hour. First Graham Napier gets one to keep low on Gary Wilson who is trapped lbw for 46. Monty Panesar then removes fellow spinner Gareth Batty, who turns to Kishen Velani just behind square, and Surrey are 340 for eight.
11.59am -ecb.co.uk’s Callum Dent at Yorkshire v Warwickshire (323/5): Rikki Clarke, strong on the leg side, is handed a life when Alex Lees shells an opportunity at first slip in Matthew Fisher’s first over of the day. Westwood’s fine innings shows no signs of ending just yet, the left-hander moving to a career-best 179 with a single into the leg side off James Middlebrook’s second delivery.
While Warwickshire claimed three batting bonus points, Yorkshire managed to snare only one bowling point.
OUT: Big wicket for Somerset as Compton edges the impressive Gregory behind. @Middlesex_CCC 60/2, Voges the new man #SOMvMID
— Somerset Cricket (@SomersetCCC) April 27, 2015
11.53am - Derbyshire opening pair Ben Slater and Godleman, who has had a couple of lives this morning, have brought up a 50-run stand as they make solid progress at the Bristol County Ground.
Borthwick takes a nasty blow to the head trying to duck out of a Hobden bouncer. @SussexCCC fielders rush in to check the batsman's welfare
— Durham Cricket Club (@DurhamCricket) April 27, 2015
11.47am - And Hampshire have another. Adams, playing against his former employers of course, has two this morning as Notts' winter recruit Will Gidman is caught behind for 34.
11.40am - ecb.co.uk's Bibhash Dash at Lancashire (350/7) v Kent: Lancashire have stumbled this morning, this despite a serene team-circle chat on the outfield before play. A wicket on the first ball saw first-class debutant Clark depart, although Alex Davies has got that fifty. Peter Siddle went for a heave outside off stump and was caught behind. Mixed morning best describes it perhaps! Lancashire have got a fourth batting point, though.
Milestone: Davies reaches 50 with a 4 off Stevens http://t.co/wo8vFKfqLt
— Lancashire CCC (@LancsCCC) April 27, 2015
11.35am - Hampshire are having a good morning. Gareth Berg gets the wicket of Vernon Philander, who has shown for South Africa that he is a capable lower-order player, for one. Liam Dawson holds a good catch.
11.30am - Billy Godleman has been given a life on 15 as he flashes an edge off James Fuller only to see Chris Dent put down the chance in the cordon.
11.26am - ecb.co.uk’s Callum Dent at Yorkshire v Warwickshire (278/5): Tim Bresnan nips one back to Pete McKay and, with the left-hander playing down the wrong line, his stumps are splattered! Bresnan could have a career-best, which is currently 5-42, in his sights. Jack Brooks appeared to have a problem midway through his second over but having left the field, is now back on and bowling from the Rugby Stand End.
11.24am - You can't keep Jesse Ryder out of the game. After his three wickets yesterday the Kiwi all-rounder has held the first catch of the morning at cover to remove the in-form Steven Davies for 81. David Masters gets the wicket and Surrey are 311 for six. They have three batting bonus points in the bag, but time is running out for them to get a fourth. Davies' exit makes it that little bit harder.
Wicket: Hales' magnificent innings of 141 comes to an end, bowled by Andre Adams, Notts 311-7 #HantsvNotts
— Nottinghamshire CCC (@TrentBridge) April 27, 2015
11.14am - Ajmal Shahzad removes Durham nightwatchman Chris Rushworth as he tries to get on the attack. Matt Hobden, the other Sussex hero from yesterday, takes the catch.
11.04am - Kent have an early breakthrough too as Jordan Clark, on his Championship debut, is caught behind off Darren Stevens for 16.
11.02am - Somerset have got off to a dream start as Lewis Gregory removes Sam Robson with the second ball of the day. Robson offers an edge that Marcus Trescothick snaps up at second slip.
10.57am - ecb.co.uk’s Callum Dent at Yorkshire v Warwickshire (270/4): Despite having to de-ice the car before my journey to Leeds, the sun is shining at Headingley and another lovely day is in prospect. Wickets will be the order of the day for the defending champions after Warwickshire, the 2014 runners-up, built a solid platform yesterday courtesy of Westwood’s unbeaten 151.
PITCH: Plenty of runs scored on here yesterday, and play is set to resume in just under 10 minutes #SOMvMIDhttps://t.co/zzZ2XcRP1m

10.30am - Here are the scores ahead of the second day's play:
Oliver Robinson's remarkable first day in the County Championship helped Sussex recover to post 335 against Durham, who start at 103 for two at the Emirates Durham ICG.
Middlesex begin the day on 10 without loss after Somerset reached 408 on the back of centuries from Marcus Trescothick and James Hildreth.
After batting through the opening day Ian Westwood will bid to strengthen Warwickshire's 270 for four against Yorkshire at Headingley
Alex Hales is also unbeaten, on 136, as he confirmed himself as the in-form batsman in the country as Nottinghamshire made 301 for six against Hampshire at the Ageas Bowl.
Lancashire restart at Emirates Old Trafford on 317 for five after Ashwell Prince maintained his remarkable record against Kent.
Leicestershire will look to build on a solid start as they reached 102 for one after Ben Raine's 4-55 helped bowl Northants out for 251.
Surrey are well-placed at 293 for five against Essex with their in-form batsman Steven Davies unbeaten on 69.
Derbyshire battled back in the evening session last night to be 24 without loss after bowling out Gloucestershire for 275 at the Bristol County Ground.
