England women batter Lydia Greenway is relishing the prospect of giving the sell-out crowds at 'Fortress Chelmsford' the chance to witness more success during this year's Ashes.

The 2015 Women's Ashes series will be contested across all three formats, and the Essex County Ground at Chelmsford is set to host the first of three NatWest Twenty20 internationals between England and Australia on August 26.

The stadium has become a favourite for England women, who boast an unbeaten record there, with Essex also taking the lead in having an exclusive media day for women and girls.

All of those should ensure the crowds continue to flock for Greenway and her team-mates, and the left-hander cannot wait for August to come round.

Along the lines of Essex's women and girls media day, Greenway told ecb.co.uk:  "The work that Essex do shows with the crowds that we get when we come down and play here.

"We normally have sell-outs here which is obviously great for us. We want to play in front of big crowds and they’re always one of the most supportive crowds that we play in front of.

"We’re really looking forward to playing here in the summer.

"26th of August is obviously a big day for us and hopefully we can get as many people down here watching as I’m sure it will be a very competitive series as it always is against Australia.

"It’s sort of the equivalent of playing at your home ground. I know obviously we’re playing in England but I think it’s so nice to come to a ground like this where you know you’re always going to get a huge amount of support.

"It's certainly a place where we all love coming to play."

England will start the Ashes series with three Royal London one-day internationals starting July 21, with the Kia Women's Test scheduled for August 11-14, before the three T20 matches.
