They may be busy preparing for the start of the 2015 county season, but that did not stop Glamorgan’s Ben Wright and Jack Murphy from getting involved with the NatWest CricketForce weekend.
The players joined in the initiative, which aims to ready grounds and facilities for the new season, to ensure the SWALEC Stadium is in top condition.
SWALEC Stadium manager Dan Cherry said: "2015 is a huge year for cricket in Wales with the Ashes returning to Cardiff as well as an International T20 double header and full programme of domestic cricket.

"It is important for the SWALEC Stadium to give the very best impression for members and visiting supporters, so it is great the staff and players have been able to pitch in and help out."
Ynystawe CC are one of the many clubs that have signed up to take part in the NatWest CricketForce, and have identified the weekend as the perfect opportunity to prepare their ground for a busy 2015.
Children from local schools will be involved in redecorating the changing rooms, assembling new portable nets and renewing the artificial wicket.
Paul Crane, trustee of Ynstawe CC, added: “We are hoping for a great turnout on the day, for short one or two-hour stints to get the jobs done. It is effectively the start of our season as we and build towards our first Premier League fixture in May.”
