The International Cricket Council has announced that Englishman Richard Kettleborough will be an on-field umpire in Sunday’s World Cup final.
Sri Lankan Kumar Dharmasena will join former Middlesex and Yorkshire cricketer Kettleborough in the middle for the showpiece involving tournament co-hosts Australia and New Zealand at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Kettleborough’s fellow countryman Ian Gould has been named fourth umpire.
Ranjan Madugalle, of Sri Lanka, will be match referee, and South African Marais Erasmus the third umpire who must advise his on-field colleagues with audio-video evidence for Decision Review System deliberations.
