ECB ACO and ECB’s Club support team received a total of twelve projects, under taking improvements to their official’s facilities. After receiving further information, a revised amount of five projects were selected to be supported by ECB ACO members:
Bovey Tracey Cricket Club, Devon
Handsworth Cricket Club, West Midlands
Newent Cricket Club, Gloucestershire
Grampound Road Cricket Club, Cornwall*
Pencarrow Cricket Club, Cornwall
There has been a slight twist to the project, which was to identify and provide two clubs with an electronic scoreboard each - free of charge.
Grampound Road CC and Pencarrow CC, based in Cornwall, were each chosen to receive a nine digit scoreboard. Both clubs had been actively fundraising but had failed to raise the funds to purchase and mount an electronic scoreboard during the weekend. The fundraising that both clubs had achieved mean that they were able to use the funds to finance an upgrade from a nine digit to a fifteen digit scoreboard.
ECB ACO hope their members in the locality to the five clubs are able to help them with their projects the over the NatWest CricketForce weekend: Friday 27th-Sunday 29th March.
*Grampound Road CC have delayed their CricketForce weekend due to a delay in delivery of the scoreboard.
