Essex have announced that three youngsters have joined the club on a short-term trial basis.
Liam Gough, 20, has joined until the end of May following a number of Essex Second XI appearances in 2014 and time spent training with the first team during the close season.
Liam, son of former Essex and England player Darren Gough, will be registered to play for the first team during the opening two months of the season.
Former Academy players, Aron Nijjar and Saf Imtiaz, also join the club on a trial basis after being consistent members of the Second XI team last season.
Imtiaz, who spent the winter playing club cricket in Australia, will be available for the 2015 season, with Nijjar’s trial set for between June to September, following his university commitments.
