Yorkshire duo Jack Brooks and Adil Rashid will have their first chance to impress for England Lions in the one-day series against South Africa A in Benoni tomorrow.
The pair played in the four-day games and have been recalled to the team for the last match of the tour as the Lions aim to maintain their unbeaten record, and complete a 4-0 series win.
“They’ve had to wait for their opportunity in the one-day series and it’s good to be able to give them that chance tomorrow,” said Lions coach Mark Robinson.
Liam Plunkett will miss out for a second game as a precaution after suffering a minor neck injury, and Mark Wood will miss his first match of the tour.
Robinson added: “Pudsey’s neck still isn’t quite right and we’re giving Woody a break at the end of what has been an outstanding tour for him.
However, Robinson is keen for the Lions to maintain their performance level even with the series secure.
“It’s been an enjoyable, successful tour, and finishing unbeaten with a 4-0 series win would be a great way to finish,” the Sussex coach added.
