Slow left-armer Nikita Miller has been named as Sunil Narine's replacement in West Indies' World Cup squad.
Narine earlier this week withdrew from the showpiece as he continues to build his confidence in his remodelled bowling action.
His place has been awarded to Miller, according to the International Cricket Council, which has ratified the change as "an exceptional circumstance".
The 32-year-old Jamaican has taken 40 wickets at an average of 36.52 in 45 one-day internationals, with his last appearance coming against England in March last year.
He is the second left-arm spinner to join the 15-man squad for their trip to Australia and New Zealand alongside Sulieman Benn.
