England wicketkeeper-batter Sarah Taylor hit the winning runs as South Australian Scorpions advanced into the final of the Australian Women’s National Cricket League with a three-wicket victory over Konica Minolta Queensland Fire.
The Scorpions were struggling on 34 for four in pursuit of 91 when the 25-year-old arrived at the crease.
But she held her nerve with an unbeaten 21 from 50 balls to set up a showpiece with New South Wales Lend Lease Breakers at the Blacktown International Sports Park on Sunday.
Queensland had earlier recovered from 39 for eight to post 90, Taylor taking one catch behind the stumps.
