England batsman Gary Ballance will be fit for the World Cup despite suffering a fractured finger in Australia.
The 25-year-old, recently recalled to the one-day squad, was struck on the little finger of his right hand during fielding drills in Canberra.
Ballance will remain with Peter Moores’ 15-man squad for the on-going Tri-Series against Australia and India and no batting cover has been added.
The Yorkshire left-hander has yet to feature Down Under, sitting out of England’s two warm-up matches and yesterday’s three-wicket defeat to the hosts along with Alex Hales.
