Pakistan have included inexperienced leg-spinner Yasir Shah in their final 15-man squad for the World Cup.
Yasir has played just a single one-day international, against Zimbabwe more than three years ago, but was involved in Pakistan's Test series with Australia and New Zealand in recent months.
The 28-year-old appears to be a replacement for off-spinner Saeed Ajmal, who withdrew from World Cup contention after he was banned from bowling by the International Cricket Council in September.
Sohail Khan, who has not played an ODI since 2011, is included in the squad following impressive form in domestic cricket but fellow paceman Umar Gul misses out.
Batsman Sohaib Maqsood and fast bowlers Junaid Khan and Ehsan Adil have recovered from injuries that kept them out of the New Zealand rubber in December.
Anwar Ali, Asad Shafiq, Nasir Jamshed, Sohail Tanvir and Zulfiqar Babar miss out on selection for the showpiece in Australia and New Zealand, which starts next month, despite their inclusions in the squad for the Black Caps series.
Pakistan World Cup squad: Misbah-ul-Haq (captain), Ahmed Shehzad, Mohammad Hafeez, Sarfraz Ahmed, Younus Khan, Haris Sohail, Umar Akmal, Sohaib Maqsood, Shahid Afridi, Yasir Shah, Mohammad Irfan, Junaid Khan, Ehsan Adil, Sohail Khan, Wahab Riaz.
