ECB today announced the appointment of two umpires, Russell Evans and Paul Baldwin, to the First Class Umpires’ Full List for 2015.
Evans played First Class cricket with Nottinghamshire between 1987 and 1990 and has been umpiring for the past six seasons. Baldwin was a member of the ICC Associate and Affiliates Panel (2005 to 2009), and moved from his base in Germany to England in an attempt to build on his umpiring success within the ICC Development Programme. He has been umpiring in England and Wales since 2010.
ECB Chief Operating Officer Gordon Hollins said: “We are delighted to welcome Russell and Paul onto the Full List for 2015. These promotions are richly deserved and reflect the quality of Russell and Paul’s performances over the last few seasons domestic competitions as well as their high levels of commitment and professionalism overall.”
Additional appointments to the ECB Reserve List have also been announced and these include former England cricketer Ian Blackwell together with Russell Warren (formerly Northamptonshire), Tom Lungley (formerly Derbyshire) and Chris Watts from Swardeston, Norfolk.
