Sri Lanka posted 391 for eight in the first innings of a crucial clash against England in the Blind World Cup in South Africa, with both teams chasing a spot in the semi-finals.
The start of play was pushed back after a ceremony was held before play to mark International Day of Persons with Disabilities
England made several changes following yesterday's 154-run defeat of Bangladesh, with Matt Dean back as captain, Justin Hollingsworth, Simon Ledwith, Ed Hossell, Amit Amin and Peter Blueitt returning to the line-up.
Hollingsworth was the star man, recording the best figures by an England bowler in 40-over cricket with 4-54 as they fought back to restrict the Sri Lanka batsman after choosing to bowl first.
W Chandana Deshpiya Wanniarachciige had given his side a good start with 101 and was well supported by B L Ruwan Wasantha, E P Saman Kumara and J P Dimuthu Ravindra, who all made half-centuries as Sri Lanka reached 323 for four after 30 overs.
However three late wickets for Hollingsworth meant that England were well in the hunt for a crucial victory which would see them on the verge of qualification for the semi-finals, with a game against Australia to come tomorrow.
