In the last 24 hours there have been misleading reports about the attendance of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) at the funeral of Phillip Hughes in Macksville, New South Wales.
The ECB has been in constant touch with Cricket Australia throughout the days that have followed the tragic death of Phillip Hughes to offer our assistance in any practical way and have worked closely with CA to achieve a successful re-arrangement of the One-Day International Tri Series in January.
With regard to attending the funeral - after consultation with Cricket Australia and the ICC it was decided that the ICC Chief Executive David Richardson was the most appropriate person to represent the ICC Member Boards and the international cricketing community at the funeral tomorrow and the ICC Chairman Mr N Srinivasan circulated that intention to all boards on Sunday (November 30) morning.
Cricket Australia, the Hughes family and the State of New South Wales are currently discussing a state memorial service for Phillip Hughes to be held in Sydney and ECB always intended that it is fully represented at that service.
Tomorrow - no matter where in the world ECB board, players, team management and staff find themselves - our thoughts will be with the Hughes family and the Australian cricketing fraternity at this sad and tragic time.
