Skipper Matt Dean and Luke Sugg followed yesterday’s hundreds with fifties as England posted 260 for nine versus Twenty20 champions India in their second Blind World Cup game.
Dean, who lost the toss, made 59 and his vice-captain Sugg 52 to help set up a decent total at Western Province Cricket Club.
India chipped away at the rest of England’s order, Peteer Blueitt the next-highest scorer with 32.
Wicketkeeper Dan Field was unable to play after being accidentally hit in the head by a bat while standing up to the stumps in yesterday’s defeat of hosts South Africa, meaning Ryan Jones made his international debut although Sugg took the wicketkeeping duties.
