Yorkshire Vikings versus Lancashire Lightning is one of three Friends Life t20 games tomorrow to have sold out, along with Derbyshire Falcons against Nottinghamshire Outlaws and Surrey’s meeting with Middlesex Panthers.
Derby will be sold out for Twenty20 game for the first time, Headingley for the first time since 2004 and the Kia Oval for the first time since 2006 for a domestic match.
Yorkshire chief executive Mark Arthur said: "I want to thank the fans for their great support of the 'War of the Roses' clash. The atmosphere at Headingley is going to be fantastic it should be a great game for the fans attending the match.
"The demand for tickets has been incredible, with the public buying tickets from around the country eager to watch this match. This is the biggest derby in cricket and people want to see the rivalry between Yorkshire and Lancashire. It is a great statement to see the ground bursting at the seams.
"We are advising fans and members to arrive early and give yourself plenty of time to get through the turnstiles and be part of a special night."
Derbyshire chief executive Simon Storey said: "We are clearly delighted by the sell-out crowd - Derbyshire's first ever for a home Twenty20 match - and grateful for the tremendous response from our supporters.
"Our commercial team has worked incredibly hard to meet demand but, with two in-form East Midlands sides in Friday evening action, the reality is we probably could have sold this match twice over.
"Although it is disappointing news for some supporters who were hoping to attend this match, we hope they will take the opportunity to join us for our three remaining fixtures.
"We play Yorkshire Vikings and Durham Dynamos at Queen's Park Chesterfield before finishing our campaign versus Leicestershire Foxes here in Derby - and tickets are still available for all three games."
Surrey chief executive Richard Gould said: “Selling out a domestic game at the Kia Oval is a fantastic achievement for Surrey CCC. It underlines the importance of putting the needs of cricket fans first and scheduling games at times when people are keen to attend.
“Hopefully tomorrow night’s capacity crowd will be repeated at grounds across the country this season and T20 cricket will cement its position as one of the summer’s top nights out.
“With the weather due to be glorious and Surrey sitting at the top of the Southern Group, everybody at the Kia Oval is preparing for a massive night tomorrow evening.”
