Hong Kong and Nepal’s ill-fated tour of Sri Lanka suffered yet another setback as rain prevented any play in the rescheduled 50-over match at the Army Ground in Colombo.
It was the fifth successive false start of the limited-overs series, which is yet to see a single ball bowled.
The weather washed out the three-match Twenty20 series in Dambulla earlier this week with both teams relocating to Colombo yesterday hoping for a change of luck.
That was, however, not forthcoming as morning rain left the outfield unplayable.
The series is due to finish tomorrow when both sides will make one last attempt to play a Twenty20 in Colombo.
Not great news from the Army ground. Wet outfield and the covers coming on again #HKvNPLpic.twitter.com/u2W6ULMope
